I always love oversized knits during the fall and when I saw this pink sweater on sale, I knew it would be a great a fit for my fall wardrobe. It's simple, easy and looks great with these jeans or a pair of leggings, tennis shoes and a black hat. ...
Fall Herringbone Blazer
Fall is just around the corner, and I have shamelessly been making a wish list of items that I'd love to have for the new season. With the hopes of cooler weather on the way, I know that I'd love to add a few new sweaters and shoes to my fall wardrobe options. Being a lover of all things layered (hello, blazers), I couldn't help but be drawn to this Herringbone Blazer from ModCloth. ...

The Packing List | Mexico
By now I'm sure we all can agree this cold weather has got to go. Being in Dallas we haven't experienced it quite like other areas, but I sure do miss patio weather. I can't help but dream of a sitting on a beach in Mexico!
In effort to make winter more bearable, Austin and I decided to plan a little "Winter Escape" in February. I'm heading to Cabo to work on a project for The Teacher Diva, but we decided to extend the trip a couple days and make a little getaway out of it.
Just as I’ve been counting down the days until this little trip, I’ve also been planning out my packing list. The thing I love about traveling to the beach is that you really don’t need much. I try to keep my packing limited to these essentials:
SWIMWEAR
What is a trip to the beach without fabulous (and affordable) swimwear? I am in love with these suits from Modcloth. I can't get over this Pastel One-Piece Swimsuit. The colors are so beautiful and I love the way it fits (I am always a fan of a cute one-piece)! I also found this high-wasted Two-Piece that will look great with my fringed and lace coverup. Speaking of coverups, I have been looking for a white ...
Cozy Layers
Happy Friday! Today, I am heading off to Denver for my friends 30th birthday. I've never been to Denver before, but from what I hear, it's a pretty neat place. I am going with a few of the girls I used to teach with, so I am looking forward to catching up and spending some quality time with them.
While this is a short trip, I want to pack things that are versatile and functional. After all, it is much colder in Denver than Dallas (which I am so excited about) and sweaters are a must. I immediately thought back to this cozy, layered look from last week.
This cowl neck poncho might be my favorite sweater I own. Not only is this one the perfect neutral color, but the oversized shape is exactly what I’m looking for. This is one of those sweaters that can be worn with stripes, neutrals or brights, so it's pretty versatile. I found it at Modcloth after searching for a plaid blanket scarf (they have so many under $25) and knew it was something I would wear all season long. Oh, and if you're looking for a new coat, this one is also noteworthy!
Layers like this are a go-to for me and will definitely get me through a chilly Colorado ...
