Any time I visit the beach, I instantly feel the need to wear tassels, beads and bold prints. It's no surprise that I packed this off the shoulder dress (worn as a cover up) and these blue tassel earrings for our trip to Seaside, FL last week. The blue and white seemed to be a great fit for the beach and the tassel bracelets are always a must.
One of my favorite places in the Seaside Square is the little outside market. There are so many pretty shops, full of flowy dresses and linen tops. Austin and I spend one morning down here to grab some iced coffee before heading down to the beach. The weather was beautiful and it made for a great way to start the day!
BRAIDED MESSY BUN
When I posted this instagram, many of you asked about the products I used in my hair and requested a tutorial. I plan to work on one, but in the meantime, I used this shampoo & conditioner (the best cheap stuff ever!) this smoothing serum (also has thermal protection and UV protection...a major plus for us with colored ...
Summer Layers
Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a super casual look from this past weekend. I am a big fan of layers and I love that I found a thin enough shrug to wear during the summer. This Neutral Cardigan (also worn here) is a great piece to have as a way to change up any look or pair with a simple tank top like I did here (I have that tank top in 3 colors, it's my favorite). I threw on my nude pumps to dress it up a little and it was perfect for a date night to the movies.
On a totally different note, I am getting really excited about a few projects I have been working on. Both work and personal. We moved into our first house last July, and (i'm embarrassed to admit) we are finally getting around to decorating and buying furniture. I can't wait to share with you all some of the things we are doing. It terrifies me to decorate and the thought of painting makes me cringe. I guess I just feel like it's so permanent. Which is silly. Anyways, be on the lookout for some DIY projects on my snapchat (username: theteacherdiva) and some interior posts coming this summer. Please feel free to share any home decor blogs, stores, or tips below!
Thanks so much for reading! xx
Summer Dressing
I'm so excited to be breaking out some of my summer dresses. It's this time of year, where the countdown for summer is on and I start looking to buy some fun dresses for warmer weather. This is one of my most recent buys for summer and it it under $20! I like that this navy dress (size up for a dress, or go TTS for a tunic/top fit) can be worn for a few different occasions. Here, I kept it super casual with my Tory Burch Espadrilles (more sizes here), but I also plan to wear it on the beach in a couple months. At this price point, you can't go wrong!
Outfit Details: SheInside Navy Dress (also comes in white // I am wearing a medium, the small fit, but was a little shorter. Would make a great tunic with jeans! This is a thin material (not sheer, just thin) and I am wearing a half slip under it. Love this dress!!!) | Tory Burch Espadrilles (more sizes here and more colors here) | Elizabeth Stone Double Trouble Necklace c/o | Maya Brenner Initial Necklace (budget ...
At the Market
If only Dallas had flower markets like Seattle, am I right? Looking back at these photos from our trip to Seattle makes me miss this city even more. Like I said, we went to the market every day during our stay and I couldn't resist a $5 bouquet even if it did mean I would have to leave it behind. Cherry blossoms always remind me of our wedding and I couldn't say no.
I have been wearing this pink coat (under $40) so much since it's still chilly. It is such a steal and actually amazing quality for the price! See how I styled it with boyfriend jeans here. Happy Tuesday! xx
