We've been in full holiday mode this week. Christmas songs playing throughout the house, wreaths hung, and the tree is up! Austin and I are hosting our first Christmas party this weekend and we are very excited to fill our home with dear friends and loved ones. I won't even talk about how our house is in the middle of being painted and we are having furniture being delivered on Thursday, either way, we are looking forward to a weekend of holiday festivities!
This black and white coat has been the perfect solution for our mild December. While, I am looking forward to bundling up in heavy layers, I love lightweight jackets and coats. To add a little color, this red bag was a nice contrast.
I am also excited to share that my necklace, perfect for you gals that love to layer, is BaubleBar's Buried Bauble today. It's only $10 and it comes in silver or gold. I love the minimal look of this Bar None Layered Necklace and have found that it looks great worn as is, or if you add another necklace. Here, I paired it with this initial necklace (under $35
How to Wear Jogger Pants
Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite looks for fall. I love this look because it can easily be dressed up for work or down for something a bit more casual. I've never owned anything army green (except for this moto jacket) so I was pretty excited to find how easy these are to wear with other neutrals, pops of color and patterns.
I found these pants when I was searching for some new fall gear, and immediately fell in love with them. They are soft, comfortable and pair well with so many different tops and shoes. So, if you're wondering how you can swing these for work, I suggest pairing with a chambray top or white blouse if the t-shirt is too casual. I also have worn these pants with these sandals and these flats in case you're on your feet most of the day (for flats, those both offer decent support).
See below for more of my favorite jogger pants. Thanks for stopping by! xx
Sale Alert | Baublebar
As you may have noticed, I wear a lot of Baublebar. It is my favorite online retailer for fun and affordable jewelry for any age or style. If you're in the market to update your jewelry box, you may not want to pass up this sale.
Today, they are having their "Christmas in July" sale and offering 30% off sitewide with code XMASINJULY.I love this site because I can always find something trendy or classic. These Tassel Earrings are a huge trend right now. I wore them here and loved how lightweight they were.
I am also a fan of the classic and simple pieces. I am more of a minimalist when it comes to everyday pieces, and this necklace is one that I wear often (you can see how I styled it here). These Pearl Back Earrings are also on my ears every single day. Currently, I have these earrings and this ring in my cart. What are you loving from the Baublebar sale?
Stripes & Pink Flats
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. It was pouring in Dallas, so with the exception of brunch with my Mom and Sis-In-Law, the day was spent mostly at home inside!
Today I wanted to share a laid back look from last weekend. If you've been reading this blog, you probably have noticed that I love casual outfit. It's not that I don't like to dress up, but I just feel most comfortable in a pair of jeans! Anyone else like that? This striped top (under $20) is one of my favorite basics and I love that it's long enough to be worn with leggings, white pants, or boyfriend jeans like I styled here.
Yosi Samra is one of my favorite retailers for ballet flats, but I was really excited when I got a pair of their Preslie Loafers. These are so comfy and I love the perforated leather. These will be on my feet all summer long!

Black & Gold
Statement necklaces are pieces that I love, but hardly wear. I am usually more of a minimalist when it comes to jewelry. I like simple and dainty pieces like my Initial Necklace that I wear daily. But every once in a while, I come across a statement piece that I just want to wear with everything. That's how I feel about this Pearl Bib from Baublebar. Since this makes such a statement, I kept everything else pretty simple. This black tunic (actually a dress), distressed jeans, and black booties (under $30!) were just the combo I wanted for this relaxed look.

Little Red Bag
This time of year always makes me want to be a little more festive with my attire. Whether its a fair isle sweater or red accessories, I can't say no! This little crossbody from Onna Ehrlich was the perfect solution for adding a little glam to my holiday looks. I loved pairing this bag with my Chicwish Faux Fur Vest (less than $50) and soft neutrals for a day of Christmas tree shopping and picking up a few last minute decorations. Austin and I are getting to decorate our house for the first time this year and we are pretty excited about it. Pictures to come! Have a great Monday! xx

Black + White
Wearing black and white has always been a "go to" option for me. This drape vest from Chic Wish was at the top of my list for fall layers. It's super soft but light enough to wear for the days when there's just a slight chill in the air. I kept this look clean and simple for an afternoon of errands, but I love the idea of pairing this with a plaid or striped shirt to add a bold look.

Beauty Talk|Oribe Finishing Spray
Now that school is in full swing, I am constantly on the lookout for products to keep my hair "fresh" in between shampoos. I love trying new things. And anything that promises longer lasting blow outs is alright by me!
I was recently introduced to Oribe Thick Dry Finishing Spray and I have used it everyday since. I was a little nervous about trying something with the word "thick" in the title because usually volume fillers and thickeners weigh my hair down. This is the complete opposite. It's so lightweight...you almost wonder if it's even in your hair.
One trick that helps me get a little volume and "refresh" my hair, is using the blow dryer (review coming soon on this dryer!) on low heat to set the spray. I know "set" makes it sound sticky or crunchy, but I promise it's not! I lift a layer of my hair around the root, flip it to the other side, and spray close to the root. I hold the blow dryer there for maybe 5 seconds and then do the same thing on the other side. I use my Spornette "Little Wonder" teasing comb to brush through my roots and sometimes even do a soft back comb to add some lift. It's the best little trick for a quick touch up!
Layered Knits
If there's one thing you need for Fall, it's an oversized sweater. I love wearing chunky knits over long blouses or crisp button downs to give a cool layered look. When buying sweaters like this, it's important to make sure you get one that is oversized, but not too big. You definitely don't want it to swallow you. All you need is a pair of skinnies or a fluted skirt and you're set.

Tweed Peplum
Fall is easily my favorite time of the year, but I'm finding it a little difficult to enjoy with Dallas temperatures still in the high 80's and 90's. Naturally, I am wanting to gravitate towards heavy layers, moto jackets and scarves but as of now-- it's not happening.
I was pretty surprised to find this Tweed Peplum Jacket from Target. Can you believe it's under 35 bucks? This jacket was the perfect compromise because it's actually pretty thin (not sheer by any means, but it's just not super thick). I wore it with this sleeveless tee and I can't wait to wear it with a long sleeve blouse when it gets cooler.
If your searching for a professional look, I suggest pairing this with a black pencil skirt or a pair of slim fitting slacks. The options are endless with this versatile Fall piece!
