Austin’s Espresso Martini Recipe

Austin’s Espresso Martini Recipe

OK, lots of requests after teasing Austin's Espresso Martini on NYE, and apologies it's taken me this long to get the recipe up. We've been into espresso martini's for some time now, so Austin thought he'd attempt an at-home recipe. And to be honest, it's really really good. ...

5 Cold Weather Recipes to Try This Season

5 Cold Weather Recipes to Try This Season

If you're like me, you're trying to take January to stay home, spend less money, and get your life in order. Austin and I got in a habit of ordering out A LOT in 2021, especially as we became a family of 4, and we'd like to get back into the habit of cooking more at home. To kick off the year, I wanted to share 5 recipes to try this season. I've personally tried all of these and can vouch, and if you're looking for even more ideas, I have an entire Pinterest board of recipes. ...

Austin made these burgers the other night and we could not get enough. Think In-N-Out style, but bigger and better. This is the ultimate burger recipe. Truly a must for your next summer cookout. A Thoughtful Care Package Idea for New Moms

A Thoughtful Care Package Idea for New Moms

Once Charlie was born and we came home from the hospital, we were obviously happy to be home but also sad not to have Charlie with us (since he was still in the NICU). I was recovering from the C-section and everything that comes with delivery, and then on top of that, there were a lot of emotions with not having Charlie home, finally getting to see George again, dealing with some stuff George was going through, etc. It was a lot, not going to lie, and I know most new moms go through alllll similar emotions when first getting home. ...

Chicken Teriyaki Veggie Bowls

Chicken Teriyaki Veggie Bowls

We've been making a lot of bowls lately, and this Teriyaki Chicken recipe has been one of our favorites. It's incredibly easy, and George will eat it too — so it saves us extra time in the kitchen preparing meals. Win-win! If you've been curious about the Always Pan I did a formal review in this post, but it's on sale for Black Friday and under $100 with code SUPERSALE (which makes it the lowest price of the year). I have two and highly recommend — you won't regret it! ...

Our Favorite Low-Carb Meals

Our Favorite Low-Carb Meals

We all love an easy dinner recipe and if you're trying to stick with a low-carb lifestyle, here are a few meals that we have been enjoying lately. Since starting F-Factor in January, we've had trouble finding low-carb meals that are 1. satisfying and 2. easy to make. This list checks both boxes for us. My personal favorites are the Garlic Crispy Brussel Sprouts and the Tortilla Pizza. Let me know what you think if you try any of these! ...

Sugar-Free Spicy Margarita Recipe

Sugar-Free Spicy Margarita Recipe

Austin and I love a good margarita moment. And if it's spicy, that's even better in our book. This spicy marg recipe has been a nice treat during these summer months. I actually made these for our friends and they couldn't believe they were sugar-free. Usually, I am not a fan of mixers. I find them overly sweet and typically they taste really "artificial". But a TTD reader told me about Swoon mixers (zero sugar zero cals) and encouraged me to order the Margarita mixer. For a low-carb and zero sugar drink, we were impressed. It's made from Monk Fruit (a melon native to Southeast Asia that has natural sweetness) and has zero calories and carbs. We've been cooking with Monk Fruit for a while since starting F Factor, and it's the closest thing to sugar that we've tasted (unlike Splenda or Stevia). It took Austin a minute to get used to it, but I liked it right away. I've already bought a few bottles to share with the family over 4th of July weekend. ...
