When it comes to winter one thing is for sure, I love my layers and cozy essentials. For months I remember searching for the perfect belted coat. Perhaps it was after watching a few episodes of Scandal, but I was inspired to find a belted wool coat. This time last year, I got this camel coat (size up) and have worn it so many times that I decided I wanted a darker brown version. Something that would still be just as versatile, but in a rich brown color.
I recently discovered this wool coat from Chicwish which has the perfect relaxed fit I was wanting. Pair it with distressed denim, or your favorite dress and you're good to go!
Thanks for reading! xx

red colorblock cape
I’ve really been into capes and ponchos this season. From the classic shawls to the funkier knit styles–I’m into them all. I am especially loving this colorblock blanket cape from Chicwish (on sale). I like to keep my looks pretty casual, so I styled it with dark denim and over the knee boots (on sale) for a dinner date with friends.
I have yet to figure out what I am wearing for Thanksgiving, so this might just be the winner. Do you guys have any exciting Thanksgiving plans? Both of our families live in near by, so we will be having lunch with my family and dinner with his. It makes for a busy day, but we enjoy having our families so close!

Fringe Details
With fringe being a huge trend this season, I couldn't help but feel the need to participate. While this fringe cardigan is a little out of my comfort zone, I thought it was too fun to pass up! I also love the idea of pairing it with a skirt or an all black ensemble.
I've had a few of you email asking if fringe is a "quick fad", or something we may see long term. I'm not at expert (by any means) but I do know that it was seen all over the runways during NYFW. Meaning we can expect to see fringe throughout 2016.
However, If you're not one to jump in feet first, I suggest starting with something small. Like a fringed ankle boot ( I also love these) or maybe a pair of heels. I have this bucket bag and I find that it has just the right amount of fringe. It goes with so much! Both are good options for those who don't want to fully invest in the trend.
What fringe pieces are you loving?
Olive Blazer & Nude Pumps
I don't know about you, but am so excited for Fall. It's easily my favorite season. I love the crisp weather, orange leaves and of course, the fashion.
This olive green blazer has been one of my greatest finds lately. It’s perfect for transitioning into fall since its not too heavy. I have always loved blazers, but I haven't owned any that were long like this one. Blazers are an easy way to adjust with the season and they can take you through the winter months with a thick sweater and tall boots.
What do you love about fall?

Black Ruffled Blouse
When it comes to my wardrobe, I’m notoriously drawn to neutrals, stripes, basic whites and black pieces. However, I couldn't help but fall in love with these magenta flats (on sale) from Nine West. I loved the pop of color with this Black Ruffled Blouse from ChicWish.
These are perfect for Fall and if you're on your feet all day. Black and pink are always happy colors to me. I loved pairing the two together for this look!

White Tunic & Boyfriend Shorts
Hello from Florida! You may have seen my snapchats or instgrams this week and noticed that Austin and I were on a trip with my family this week. We are staying in Watercolor, FL but have enjoyed time at Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach and of course Seaside. We will be here until Sunday, so be sure check out my snapchat ("theteacherdiva") or instagrams to see more from our trip!
This White Tunic (only a few left in stock- similar here, here, here, and here) has been one of my favorite blouses this summer. I have already worn it twice while on this trip and have had multiple people stop me asking about it. You know it's good when a total stranger will stop you and compliment your look...am I right? I've worn it with these boyfriend jeans and these skinny jeans and love the oversized look.
Many of you have been asking about my sunglasses, they can be ...
Dressing for the 4th of July
After posting this off the shoulder dress last week, I am now starting to look for more dresses and tops that offer the cold shoulder. I love the look and not to mention, they are surprisingly practical for these hot summer days.
This Navy Embroidered Dress has been worn on repeat ever since I got it in May. It has been the perfect dress to throw on for brunch, to the pool as a cover up, or just to run errands in. I can't think of a better time to wear it than Saturday! I personally don't like to wear red, white and blue all at once, so this dress is the perfect compromise for a festive look without being too over the top. Psst.. it's also a steal at $45!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! xx

Blue & White
With the 4th of July just around the corner, I have been on the hunt for what I will be wearing for an evening outside with friends and celebrating the good ole US of A. I love this Blue Blouse and if you have seen my recent instagrams, you know I have been wearing it on repeat! I am thinking this would be a great top with my white denim shorts and sandals too.
I always like to make something (easy) but festive for the 4th! I have this recipe pinned and I am also loving these ice cubes for a fun look to your drink. I've made these fruit kabobs and they are always a hit. I may stick to that and make those ice cubes. Like I said, I try to keep it easy- ha! What do you have planned for this weekend?
Spring Trench
If there is one item that needs to be in your closet, it's a trench coat. I never realized how versatile this lightweight jacket was until I finally purchased one. And if you just peruse pinterest, you will see tons of more inspiration as well! You can't go with a classic khaki color or if you want something fresh for spring, try out a pastel color like this blue trench coat. Personally, I love this powder blue option. I kept the rest of my look pretty simple, with a classic white button down and jeans (25% OFF with code SPRING25) but I also plan to pair it with this striped dress. The options are endless!
PS- don't forget to take advantage of the SHOPBOP 25% OFF SALE! I just picked up this for an upcoming beach trip and these for summer!

crochet tunic
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and great Easter! Both of our families were out of town, so our Easter was a little quieter than most. You may have seen some of my snapchats (username- "theteacherdiva") but we went to church at The Village (email me if you want more details!) and then went to brunch at True Food Kitchen. It was nice just the two of us, but we sure missed our families!
The weather on Saturday was perfect (I wish I could say the same about yesterday.) This Crochet Tunic was perfect for running errands with Austin and grabbing some lunch. I can't wait to wear it more this summer and take it with me to the beach. The fabric is so soft and I love that it doesn't wrinkle. I wore my favorite jeans and wedges to complete this summery look.
I hope everyone has a great Monday and thanks so much for stopping by! xx
