A Tan Vest
J Crew has the best selection of vests. I picked this up at the Style Sessions a few weeks ago and I have been anxiously awaiting cooler temps. It is so soft and feminine and not like your typical "puffer" vests. I have to be careful with those because let's be honest, I don't want any extra "puff" going on. Who does? This vest isn't bulky and still shows a silhouette. I paired it with this black and white grid blouse. This blouse has seriously come in handy...obviously, I have been wearing it on repeat like crazy. It is such a great layering piece for a fitted blazer or this J Crew Excursion Quilted Vest. To Austin we go and I couldn't be more excited for a 3 day weekend. Yes, I know it's already Thursday but the countdown is on. I have lived in Dallas pretty much my whole life and I have never been to Austin before! Everyone has looked at me like I am crazy so I'm not offended if you're a fellow Texan thinking the same thing. I have heard great things so I am already excited about the trip. I am a hat freak. I just love them! My husband isn't a big fan, but I find hats can make the perfect accessory and help out when your not having a great hair day (or just feeling lazy). I found this hat at Gap and knew it would be a great piece to have for fall/winter. But don't let these pictures fool you, it's pretty warm in Dallas these days. Me Time
In this fast paced world we live in, it's important to set time out and enjoy some me time. It's so easy to get caught up in the day to day hustle that we often forget to sit back and relax. It's not easy for me to unplug and reflect, but I make the time. Whether that's framing an old wedding picture or painting my nails with a new shade for fall, it's the little things that inspire me and keep me calm and collected. Fresh flowers are also easy on the eyes. I'm telling you, just the aspect of fresh flowers really changes the feeling in my house. I actually want to keep it clean and organized. Ha, maybe they should be a weekly thing? Oh and did I mention my love for chocolate? Not just any chocolate, Lindt LINDOR milk chocolate truffles. These irresistible truffles are a must. It's no secret that I love black and white. A few weeks ago when I was "grocery shopping" at Target (y'all do that too right?) I stumbled upon this beauty of a dress! Like I couldn't believe it was a Target find. The material feels nice and it isn't sheer. Major plus. I knew the Roxanne Chain Necklace from Shop Simply Lush was the perfect thing to pair with it.
