Spring Break is upon us and that can only mean two things. 1. Warmer weather is near (yay!) and 2. Find that perfect swimsuit. While I won't be by the beach this week, I do know I have a few upcoming beach trips that will require a new suit and most importantly an adorable cover up!
Recently, I started my search and I have been so impressed with the collection of swim wear and accessories at Nordstrom. They always have a good mix of designer to budget friendly-- you can't go wrong! Not to mention the best customer service (seriously- the best). Click the items above to shop my favorites, or see more of my swim picks below! I just ordered this coverup for my summer trips. Can't wait to wear it!
Happy shopping and here's to warmer weather! xx

At the Market
If only Dallas had flower markets like Seattle, am I right? Looking back at these photos from our trip to Seattle makes me miss this city even more. Like I said, we went to the market every day during our stay and I couldn't resist a $5 bouquet even if it did mean I would have to leave it behind. Cherry blossoms always remind me of our wedding and I couldn't say no.
I have been wearing this pink coat (under $40) so much since it's still chilly. It is such a steal and actually amazing quality for the price! See how I styled it with boyfriend jeans here. Happy Tuesday! xx

Everyday Basics
Now that March is here, I'm officially staring to wear some of my Spring essentials. This weekend we got a taste of Spring weather (rain included!). It got me motivated to dig through my closet and pull out some of my staple pieces for Spring.
One of my go to outfits is my Vince Camuto White Blouse (now on sale), distressed jeans, and my Vince Camuto Mules. You may have known Vince Camuto strictly as a shoe designer, but his brand is so much more. Nordstrom has the new Spring Collection and it really is gorgeous. Lots of pastels and fun patterns. Perfect for the warmer weather! Side note: I have been looking everywhere for a great pair of peep toe mules and these are by far my favorite. They really are so comfy and I love that they can fit narrow feet.
There's just something about the ease of a white blouse and distressed denim that I find effortlessly chic. I've linked more Vince Camuto favorites as well as some of my favorite sandals below.
Thanks for reading! xx
A Weekend in Seattle
pink coat | gold bracelet | ring
Last weekend, Austin and I had the most wonderful time in Seattle. It was my husbands first trip and my second, but it was equally just as exciting for both of us. While we aren’t gurus of this city, I did want to share with you some neat places for dining, sight seeing, and lodging while your downtown.
It was really important to us to find a hotel that was located near the water and Pike Place Market. I did some research and found The Palladian Hotel had everything we wanted!
Everything from the marble countertops to the food at Shaker + Spear was on point. We loved staying at this boutique hotel!

Braided Updo
Here is one of my looks from our trip to Seattle last weekend. The weather was perfect and surprisingly warmer than Dallas. This grey hi-low sweater and pink scarf (under $15/ identical version here) were perfect for walking around downtown and exploring Pike Place Market. I love this sweater because it's very soft and a great transition piece. The color is so easy to pair with other prints or colors too!
Real quick, I wanted to ask you for some feedback. I received a few emails & comments asking about my hair when I posted this to instagram...so I want to see what you guys think too. Would you want a braid tutorial? Video or step-by-step pictures? I love getting comments and emails from all of you and many of you have requested hair and makeup tutorials. One of my goals this year is to post tutorials more often. I have received positive feedback from my Beauty Talk series, but I just wanted to check back and get your thoughts. Videos? Step-by-step pictures? None? Love to hear from you! xx
My Spring Uniform
Happy Monday! Thank so much for following along during my trip to Seattle. I loved hearing from a lot of you regarding places to see, eat and shop! My trip was short, but I tried my best to hit up each place. Seattle is awesome and I can't wait to share pictures from our trip soon.
Like most of you, I am ready for spring. I am definitely missing the patio weather, open toe-shoes, and colorful ensembles. This blue and white tunic (less than $20 // runs small, size up) was quick to catch my eye for spring. Tunics (or long tops in general) are usually on the top of my list and this one was no exception. I kept the look easy and paired it with my favorite jeans (I love the length!) and new sandals. These sandals were a find in New York and I can't wait to wear them all summer. See below for more Spring tunics for all budgets. Happy Shopping! xx

The Packing List | Seattle
Hi Guys! I'm pretty excited to be heading off to Seattle with Austin tonight! He has a work conference there next week, and since I have an extra personal day to spend, I figured why not. I love little trips like this and can't wait to spend the next few days with him!
Seattle is truly one of my favorite cities. My husband has never been before, so I am excited to take a long weekend and explore the town together. Pikes Market is of course at the top of my list and maybe a little trip to Bainbridge Island. I would love to hear some of your suggestions! Food, shopping, places to see? I'm all ears!
As for packing, I like to keep it simple when it comes to my carry on. Give me a few magazines and a notepad to make a list and I am good to go. The OMG Bag from Lo & Sons is one of my favorite carry on's (a co-worker of mine uses this as her teacher bag and I am thinking about making the switch as well) since it fits everything so well. Like most people, I like to bring my laptop when traveling. This bag makes it worry free with the secure laptop pocket. I also like that it has plenty of storage for shoes, pens & notepads, and any other loose items I might throw in along the way.
Eek! Send me suggestions...I would love to hear them! xx

I just got those sandals in the mail, and while they aren't the cheapest, they sure do make my feet look amazing! Those sunnies are also a top favorite at just under $40. Happy Shopping! xx

Mint & Stripes
I know I am not the only one who is dreaming of warmer weather. Especially today when I look out to see yet another ice day. Lately, I have been so bored with my tan and black outwear. Pastels are a huge trend right now and I am loving it. Wishful thinking that Spring in near I guess. This pink coat that I wore last month, was one of my favorites. It was a nice break from the typical winter outwear, and I have not stopped wearing it. I wanted to find another pastel color and this mint coat was perfect! It is a very unexpected color for me, but I thought it was fun and a great color for spring. Plus it's under $50! See below for more colored coats all under 50 bucks. Stay warm! xx
