I seem to have quite the addiction to the color white these days. From home decor and clothing, it's always a good color for Summer. With that being said, I have been on the hunt for a simple, oversized white blouse. To me, when I think of Summer tops, this Crepe Blouse from Chic Wish comes to mind. It's light and breezy material is perfect for those hot temperatures. The top also comes in a pretty nude and teal if white isn't your color. The Packing List | Summer Musts
With Summer here, the opportunity for little weekend getaways is definitely greater. My husband and I don't have any kids so there's little holding us back from little spontaneous road trips. Whether it's driving to a nearby city or staying at the in-laws for the weekend, I always like to be prepared. I try to keep things pretty organized when packing so it was a no brainer to use my One Truffle Clairity Pouch to hold all my essentials. Chantacaille Rice and Geranium Cleanser: I know I've written about this stuff before, but I still can't get over this cleanser. It's the absolute best of the best! You only have to use a dot (like smaller than a pea size) and it really foams up and gets off every trace of make up. I love to use it with my Clarasonic Face Brush to get a deep clean. Chambray + Black
Hello from Austin, TX! This week my husband and I are enjoying this beautiful city and taking full advantage of everything Austin has to offer. We love this city, so a week here seems perfect to us. This was a look I wore last night to dinner and Benjis (best fajitas we've ever had). I kept it pretty casual with a J Crew Chambray top, black shorts from Nordstrom (on sale!) and the PAK Crossbody from Blair Ritchey. This is a look that I will wear all summer. Beauty Talk | Summer Favorites
Oh sweet Summer! Most of you know that I am a full time teacher to 22 1st graders and I blog in my free time and at night. Both keep me very busy, but it's a hobby that I truly enjoy! With that being said, I am doing a little happy dance this morning while sipping my coffee and catching up on the Bachelorette as I fully enjoy my first day of Summer Break!
When I think of Summer, a few things come to mind. No school (duh!), vacations, and my favorite products that I always have on hand. Today, I will share with you some of those Summer "must haves" that get me through the season.
With the Dallas heat and humidity, my hair can be a hot mess. I have to use product in order to keep it smooth and hydrated. The Dry Bar 100 Proof Treatment Oil is a life savor. I have thick hair, but it can also be used to fine (just use a pea size amount). It can be used on wet hair before blowdrying, or on dry hair to help smooth and add shine. I use it on "next day hair" and just run a tiny amount through my ends. The smell is great and it makes my hair look freshly washed and styled. Summer is all about colors but sometimes I love the soft "chalky" nail polishes against my tanned skin. Essie is my favorite brand for polishes. Waterfall Cardigan
If there's one item in my closet I love, it's a great cardigan. Maybe it's the teacher in me, but investing in a good cardigan will get you through multiple seasons and will definitely give you plenty of options when it comes to outfits. Due to the hot temps in Dallas, a lightweight cardigan is a must. This waterfall version from Goodnight Macaroon is a practical solution to achieve a layered look- even in the Summer! I kept it neutral with a cream tank, but it could easily be paired with a pop of color. This is something that I will be wearing quite often!

M&H / Polish Fashion Show
Tonight I am excited to share with you some pictures from the Milk & Honey / Polish Fashion Show. Milk & Honey is one of my favorite Dallas boutiques and Polish is an incredible organization connecting professional women to discuss career and faith. When I heard the two were joining forces to host a fashion show, I knew it would be amazing! The night started off with gorgeous flowers by Posh Floral and delicious treats from Society Bakery. Lauren Scruggs was the fashion show emcee and did a beautiful job sharing her story and faith while presenting new trends from Milk & Honey Boutique. It was a great night of fashion, friends and fellowship!

When it comes to accessories, black and white is an easy win for me. I should probably try to branch out and embrace color more often, but I can't help but fall for classic B/W pieces like these.
