A Toast to the Host

A Toast to the Host

Whether it’s a dinner party or a weekend at a friend’s cabin, the holiday season is filled with all kinds of fun invitations. Some of our fondest memories of holiday seasons past involve these types of cozy winter gatherings with friends and family. But no matter where you’re headed this season, one thing’s for sure: you should definitely show up bearing some sort of gift. But what to bring? This depends on the host and his or her preferences, but I always suggest going with a classic bottle of wine and something unique to help them stock their bar cart. I love customizing hostess gifts so that they fit the personality and interests of the host and Chloe Wine Collection has yet to disappoint.  ...

Confused with The Face Roller Trend? This Will Help.

If you're anything like me, you're intrigued by the face roller trend, but also confused. Between different jade rollers, ice rolling, face massagers, etc., there's a lot happening. But the good news is that each of these can really make a difference in your skin and help with different issues. I figured it was time I got to the bottom of what each roller can do and when to use each. So today I'm sharing the ultimate guide to face rollers with you all. ...

10 Tweed Jackets To Wear This Fall

10 Tweed Jackets To Wear This Fall

There's really no easy way to jump into today's scheduled post. If you follow us on Instagram you know that this past week (really the past 2 weeks) have been exceptionally hard for us. Last Wednesday we had to say goodbye to our precious French bulldog Lucy and we are beyond crushed. I will talk about this when I feel the time is right, but for now, we are trying our best to heal and find some sense of normal. Getting back into my regular posting schedule, working on creative projects and engaging with you guys on social media have started to help. Maybe it's just a temporary distraction but it's all I can do to prevent sitting in this empty house and letting my mind wander. I do want to thank everyone for the kind notes and prayers that were sent our way this past week. Austin and I read each one. And though it doesn't take away the pain from losing a loved one, it was comforting to read your words of hope, love and strength.  ...

How I Style My Suede Koolaburra Sneakers

How I Style My Suede Koolaburra Sneakers

As someone who loves to wear flats over heels, I really appreciate a sneaker that can pair well with denim or a casual midi dress. I found the tan suede sneaker certainly tops the list for my fall must-haves. This pair from Koolaburra is chic, simple and far more comfortable than a pair of heels. ...

Athleisure Trends I am Loving for Fall

Fall weather has officially hit us here in Dallas and I have been pulling out my scarves, hoodies and of course, leggings. I never tire of the athleisure trend, but fall and winter are my favorite seasons to pull of this comfortable look. It's cozy, convenient and the more layers, the better. Whether you're traveling, running errands or actually heading to the gym, athleisure is your best bet.  ...

How I Manage Hormonal Breakouts

How I Manage Hormonal Breakouts

Alright, guys. Today's post is quite long and not glamorous by any means. But the truth of the matter is, my skin is more of a struggle now than ever before. And I've heard it's a very common thing for women my age (late twenties, early thirties). ...

My Favorite Plaid Blazers for Fall

My Favorite Plaid Blazers for Fall

A plaid blazer is everything I look for in my fall wardrobe. And if you've been a reader for a while, this probably comes as no surprise. A boyfriend style blazer is refined, simple and crisp and can transform any pair of denim. With a plaid blazer you can keep it easy with a relaxed white tee (my favorite, I actually bought two because I wear it so much) or a graphic tee. Below, I'm sharing a few of my favorite plaid blazers for fall. Which one is your favorite? ...

Sonoma County Wine Month

Sonoma County Wine Month

Last month I was able to visit Sonoma County and still have not stopped thinking about this trip — nor have my girlfriends. I had about 15 text messages between our group of friends already planning a girls trip next spring. With that being said, if you're looking for a girls getaway or a romantic weekend with your loved one, you may want to consider Sonoma County. It has 18 unique regions, and more than 60 grape varieties thrive there. Each growing regions and every vineyard is distinctive, with climate, soils, and site creating unique characteristics. ...
