Trend Alert: Summer Lace Up Sandals

Trend Alert: Summer Lace Up Sandals

While I don't consider myself to be "trendy", I do like to dabble in a few trends here and there. My closet typically consists of basics, solids and layering pieces making it easy to incorporate statement accessories. One of my absolute favorite trends is the lace up shoes. You've seen me sport them several times on here and on instagram, but they really are incredibly versatile. Whether you go heels or flats, either style can be worn with so many pieces you already own in your closet. ...

Things to Do In Paris

Things to Do In Paris

Earlier this month, Austin and I set off for a 3 week European vacation. This was a trip we have been planning for over several months and we were very specific with the places we wanted to go and see. While we were away, many of you asked questions regarding our trip. I wanted to answer some of the questions in this post and share with you some of our favorite spots in Paris. ...

Blazer & Lace Trim Shorts

Blazer & Lace Trim Shorts

It's no secret I love a good blazer. I typically incorporate one into my weekday and love to pair them with Boyfriend Jeans and a good pair of Heels for date night. I recently found this Pink and Navy Trim Blazer at Topshop while we were in London and could not pass it up. ...

Poolside in Positano

Poolside in Positano

With summer just around the corner, I wanted to share a resort inspired look from our recent trip to Positano, Italy. If you're like me, you're probably already searching the stores for new swimwear or coverups. I really liked this Halter One Piece Swimsuit and Fringe Kimono Coverup from our day by the pool at Le Sirenuse. ...

Black and White Espadrilles

Black and White Espadrilles

During our recent trip to Florence, I wanted to be as comfortable as possible. We spent hours on our feet and walked pretty much everywhere. It was a great way to get to see the city! When packing my outfits, I had to be very intentional. I packed several "basics" that could be worn with jeans, black pants, shorts etc. while mixing in a few statement pieces, like this floral dress (fit: tts, on sale!). This White Blouse was the perfect addition to my packing list.  ...

In My Travel Beauty Bag

In My Travel Beauty Bag

As promised here is a peek into my travel beauty bag. I shared a few snapchats (username: theteacherdiva) of my products during our recent trip to Europe (travel details coming soon!), but wanted to include a full post going into detail on each product. A few of you were curious about my skin care routine and miscellaneous beauty items so I was sure to go into detail on each of those.  ...

Black and White Plaid

Black and White Plaid

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! Yesterday, we had a few friends from our Bible study over and hosted a little cook out. I'm not much help on the grill, but I do like to make festive drinks, desserts and appetizers.  You know, the fun stuff. I found this easy  flag dessert and it was a hit! I wanted to share this black and white look from last weekend. I love plaid really any time during the year, and this Oversized Plaid Button Down is perfect for Summer. ...

Memorial Day Sales 2016

Memorial Day Sales 2016

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend! We just returned to Dallas last night from our European Adventures and I must say, it feels good to be home. While we had so much overseas, it just feels nice to get back in the swing of things. I wanted to share some pretty exciting sales with you all. Many retailers have significant discounts on some of our favorite designer pieces. My favorite is $40 off your purchase at M.Gemi (use code 'teacher diva' at checkout). I also love these Gingham Shorts and this Tie Waist Tunic. If you're in the market for a new wallet, the Tory Burch Sale is on point right now. I have my eye on the Serif-T Sip Continental Wallet. Below are my favorite stores listed that are participating in weekend sales. ...

3 Classic Handbag Styles Every Girl Should Own

3 Classic Handbag Styles Every Girl Should Own

When it comes to handbags, there is no doubt that they are my favorite accessory. I love that feeling of shopping for a new bag, however, making the purchase isn't always the easiest for me. I happen to be very picky and look for bags that are not only appealing, but very practical. Whether it's a splurge or save, I still want to make sure I am making smart purchase. With all the styles out there, I only find there to be a few that I personally gravitate towards most. I often get asked about my favorite brands and styles, so I wanted to share with you 3 styles that I find to be the most classic and versatile at all price points! ...

White Eyelet Skirt

White Eyelet Skirt

There's just something about the ease of a white cotton skirt (on sale!) that has me excited for Summer. White in general is something we see more during the Spring & Summer. Women start wearing more creams and pastels, and we see an influx of neutrals with pops of color. My summer uniform is usually more causal, but there are many times where I need (or would like) a classic knee length skirt. ...
