Hello, Monday! Over the weekend, Austin and I took part in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Have any of you been last minute shopping? While, fighting mall traffic is not ideal, it's all part of the experience. We had a few last minute gifts to pick up and it's the only time I can get Austin to the mall so I was not about to complain. I really do love getting out this time of year, even if it is just a few days before Christmas. Everything is so festive and the decorations are gorgeous! I am going to be posting a Dallas holiday guide soon, so be sure to check back tonight as I share my favorite things to do in the Dallas metroplex for the holidays.
This Red Sweater from Chicwish is the perfect look for the holidays. I love the fit and color. I threw on this plaid scarf (only $28) with my over the knee boots (my favorite pair, sold out in tan only black available) to give the look a more festive vibe. I am also loving this version in green!

Holiday Plaid
Everyone needs that holiday top they can wear from season to season. For me, I can always go to my trustworthy plaid button down. I love the classic red and tan combo, but I couldn't pass up this green version. It just seemed to festive (without being overdone) to pass up. I love that I can wear it tucked in the front or untucked for a "tunic" look. This top will be worn many times throughout winter and I can't wait to pair it with this faux fur vest. How do you style plaid?

Black Friday Shopping Guide
Black Friday is here and you know what that means, sales! Not just any sale, the sale of all sales! And while stores love to play up the "early bird special", I prefer the "shop online in my pj's" way. I have learned (the hard way) that it's never worth fighting the crowds. The Holiday Skirt
Ever since getting the Nora Skirt from Corilynn, I couldn't wait to wear it. Nothing makes me feel more girly than a classic fitting skirt and a great pair of pumps. This was the perfect look for dinner during our staycation at The Joule.
I am new to the brand Corilynn, but after reading up on this amazing company, it was easy to see why they are so popular. Not only do they have beautiful clothing, but it's made incredibly well. Holiday Dress
Now that the holidays are well on their way, it only makes sense to start looking for that perfect holiday dress. If you're like me, you probably stress when trying to find the perfect party dress. It's a busy time of year and it can be really hard trying to find something appropriate for that special occasion. However, Nordstrom has always made shopping so easy for me, so it's no surprise that I would look here for my party dress!
This Betsey Johnson fit and flare dress from Nordstrom was exactly what I was looking for. The plaid is on point for this season and the flared skirt adds the perfect touch for a holiday look. If you're on the hunt for some pretty holiday dresses, I highly suggested taking a look at Nordstrom. I am looking at getting this Blue Midi from BCBG or this Satin Shift Dress by Cynthia Steffe. Holiday Sweater Cardigan
I love a good cardigan. Being a teacher, that probably doesn't surprise you, but I love to wrap myself in a cozy sweater or cardi. Typically, I try to find cardigans that are long enough to wear leggings or those really skinny jeans. I also like them to be a tad oversized.
