There's really no easy way to jump into today's scheduled post. If you follow us on Instagram you know that this past week (really the past 2 weeks) have been exceptionally hard for us. Last Wednesday we had to say goodbye to our precious French bulldog Lucy and we are beyond crushed. I will talk about this when I feel the time is right, but for now, we are trying our best to heal and find some sense of normal. Getting back into my regular posting schedule, working on creative projects and engaging with you guys on social media have started to help. Maybe it's just a temporary distraction but it's all I can do to prevent sitting in this empty house and letting my mind wander. I do want to thank everyone for the kind notes and prayers that were sent our way this past week. Austin and I read each one. And though it doesn't take away the pain from losing a loved one, it was comforting to read your words of hope, love and strength. ...
Velvet Crush
Every now and again I like to get a little extra with my outfits — spice things up if you will and take a break from my neutral obsessed wardrobe. I took this velvet duster out for a spin when I was in NYC last month and have been anxious for the weather to cool down in Dallas so I can wear it again. ...
6 Leopard Print Pieces You Need this Fall
Well, look at this — not one but two leopard-print posts in a week. Please tell me you're not over it because I am certainly loving this trend.
When I was in NYC for Fashion Week, I wore this Leopard Print Midi Dress with these Golden Goose sneakers and it was hands down the most comfortable outfit of the entire week. Shoot, I was guilty of wearing this exact same getup twice (actually three times) last week and I am not ashamed to admit it.
If you're into it, here are 6 of the best buys in fashion’s favorite print. Enjoy! x Ashley ...
What I Wore To NYFW
Happy Monday, friends! I just got back from New York Fashion Week late Thursday night and spent the weekend taking a digital detox. After being gone on work trips for nearly 2 weeks, it felt good to unplug for a couple of days. We spent the weekend packing, working on Ashley at Home and tying up loose ends on a few of our upcoming projects. So not much relaxing going on over here but it feels good being back in the swing of things. ...
Our Favorite Pizza Spots Around New York City
Being in New York this past week had me seriously craving a good slice of New York style pizza. While the week has been pretty busy, we were able to make it to a few pizza places around the city that were too good not to pass along. Some of these places came from suggestions by you guys, so thank you for contributing to today's post! If your favorite place didn't make the list, let us know your recommendation in the comments below. ...
48 Hours in New York City
So you're planning a quick trip to NYC. If you're anything like me, you scroll through Pinterest trying to find the cutest restaurants to grab dinner or looking at hashtags on Instagram to find the most "IG-worthy" brunch spot. Hey, if anyone gets it, it's us!
And while 48 hours is a very quick trip to NYC, it's definitely doable if you have a plan. ...
Neutrals in New York City
If you follow along via Instagram, you might have seen that I was in New York City the past few days. Katey and I were there for work, but managed to squeeze in some fun on Sunday. I've been seeing a lot of your DMs asking questions about our trip, and I definitely plan on putting together a full post on what we did and our recommendations for a quick trip to the city. ...
Fancy Pants
TGIF friends! Wanted to share a look from NYFW and a trend that I am loving this Fall. I can't get enough of these pants, and while my husband says they look like pajamas, I just shake my head! Silly boys. These pants are everywhere for Fall. If you are a little skeptical, I suggest you go with a solid color like these from J Crew (also on sale!) to try it out. For me, I had to wear heels with a more relaxed pant. I have seen drapey pants worn with flats, and it looked adorable, however for me- I needed the extra height. Have you tried these pants before? I would love to hear your thoughts on this trend! xx

Floral Dress
You know when you find that dress that is so easy to take from day to night? Well this is mine. This dress has it all! Fun print, great length and so comfortable. Funny thing. Not only was this dress my first look for Fashion Week, but also the dress I wore on the first day of school. Who knew it could be suitable for both occasions!
Stay tuned for a short re-cap of my trip! Thanks for reading! xx
