Beauty Talk- Let’s Face It

One thing my mom always taught was to take good care of my skin. Since I can remember, I have always taken the time to take care of my skin and invest in some pricy and not-so-pricy products.  Although I was one of those who would wash her face every morning and night, I still would suffer from the occasional blemish. Yuck! Throughout my search for finding good products that worked for my skin, I finally found a few that seem to do the trick. Knock on wood.

01. Say Yes To Cucumbers Face Wipes: Simply the best! I dont know what it is, but I have tried EVERY face wipe and this is THE only one that does not make my face have some crazy reaction.  I use it every day to take my makeup off. I also throw one in my gym or travel bag.

02. Caudalie Beauty Elixir: Well, I was very skeptical about this product at first, until I tried it. It’s amazing! I am not one to lather on the moisturizer, as my skin is already oily, but I do know it’s important to give my skin some moisture. This does just that. Not only is it refreshing but it gives my skin vitamins and nutrients without feeling oily or heavy. This can also be used after applying makeup as a refresher, but I choose to use it before. Either way it’s a keeper. You can buy a travel size at Sephora to try it out!

03. Philosophy -Purity Made Simple Face Wash:  This is a great gentle face wash. I love how clean and soft it keeps my skin.

04. DermaDoctor Ain’t Misbehavin’: Face Wash: This stuff is great for those who suffer from breakouts and are in need to exfoliate the skin without a harsh scrub. I actually use this about 5 days a week and I can already tell improvements in my skin.  I apply to dry skin…leave on for about 5 minutes, then wash off. I use in the morning only, I don’t recommend using twice a day as it could be really irratating. Overall, great product and keeps my skin in line.

.05 St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub: This is also a great exfoliator that is gentle enough for sensitive skin. It will definitely leave your skin feeling squeaky clean. I use this once a week.

.06 Laura Mercier Repair Eye Serum: This is a lifesaver! It’s hydrating and light weight. It has little light reflectors in it too, so it makes my eyes appear awake and as if I’ve had a full 8 hrs of sleep. Nice, right?! I use it under my concealer and it works like a charm.

.07 Proactive Refining Mask: Ok, this is amazing. Yes, it will bleach your towels, but it seriously works! I put a little dab just on the breakout and go to sleep. When I wake up, I can tell it’s been working! It’s perfect for a quick fix.

.08 Estee Lauder Time Zone Moisturizer: If you have oily skin, like myself, this is the moisturizer for you. I have always been scared to use moisturizer in fear that it would make my face that much shinier, however that is not the case with this. It’s so light yet actually makes my face look smooth and hydrated, not oily. The SPF 15 is a nice added bonus too!

Obviously these products don’t work for everybody, but I think they are some of the best. I consider myself a product junkie and am always looking for new things to try. What are some of your must haves?

I have Say Yes to Cucumbers but I saw that they have grapefruit, blueberries and tomato. have you tried any of the other ones?

Before the holidays, Sephora was selling a big bottle of Purity for $10, I am glad I picked up a bottle. I have used it before and it’s such a great cleansers.
