1//2//3//4//5//6Diva or not, every gal needs a statement necklace. Now some of these baubles can run you a pretty penny...so I always try to find good ones that are affordable. As much as I love the ones from J Crew, I just can't justify almost $200 for something I know I will wear for a couple months then sell on Poshmark later. Although, according to my husband I will just use my J Crew Teacher Discount and that justifies everything... and he's right. Forever 21 actually has some pretty great pieces that are so cheap! Like under 10 bucks cheap...and look halfway decent. Bauble Bar is another favorite of mine because of their ...

I must say, I am pretty excited about getting to wear dresses on a regular basis now. Though this Texas weather can change at any moment, I'm crossing my fingers that the heat is here to stay. Now that I am starting to pull out my summer wardrobe, and the self tanner, I am realizing that this amazing denim jacket goes with just about any maxi dress. Chicago Trip | Girls Weekend
I am so excited to share these pictures with all of you. I love to document little moments in life but I get really excited about a special occasion such as this. Last weekend my besties and I traveled to Chicago to surprise our dear friend April with a bachelorette party weekend. She was so surprised. I mean we are from Dallas, Little Rock and Houston...so she was shocked. Our plan was to surprise her in the hotel lobby, then take her to the room for a lingerie shower then a night on the town. We had the whole room decorated with bachelorette cookies, games, a photo booth, and of course... lingerie! We had a blast showering her with all kinds of goodies for her upcoming wedding. When Saturday came, we spent the day being tourist. We figured if we were going to make the trip to Chicago, why not make a whole weekend out of it? It was such a fun weekend to spend with good friends. Only a couple more months till the big day!

Happy Wednesday! After an exciting weekend in Chicago for a friends surprise bachelorette party {post coming SOON} I am still trying playing catch up on just about everything. Totally worth it! In the meantime, I will tell you about this great statement necklace and offer from Recherché. I have been on the lookout for a great statement necklace that is versatile and relatively inexpensive. When Katie introduced me to the Geometric Necklace, I knew this was it! I love the bright pop of mint and the fun geometric pattern. It is the perfect layering piece or can easily be worn alone. Katie at Recherché is an absolute doll and has offered my readers a 25% discount when using the code TTD at checkout. The code expires next Wednesday so be sure to grab some goodies while you can. Maxed Out
One of my favorite looks of the season is by far the maxi. Dress or skirt I love the effortless look of the long flowy fabric. When I saw this chiffon maxi for $12 (!) I knew that it was going to be a perfect spring/ summer staple. I paired it with a chambray shirt, bright bangles and some fun sandals. This look is definitely going to be on heavy rotation this summer. What are your summer go to looks?

Style Me Monday | Resort Wear
Happy Monday! This past weekend Austin and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. One week late, but the actual anniversary weekend was much too busy to actually enjoy and celebrate this special occasion. Austin and I decided on no gifts and to just do some fun things around the city to celebrate. Gotta love 3-day weekends! When the time came to hand over our cards, Austin looked suspiciously giddy. I should have known something was up. When I opened my card, I saw a hand sketched drawing of a Sandals resort...surprise we are going to Sandals! This is when I cried, screamed and praised Austin for his incredible drawing skills. Turns out the first "traditional" gift for an anniversary is paper. A pair of plane tickets to the beach will do us just fine if I do say so myself. I am so excited. We went to Sandals St. Lucia for our honeymoon and had a blast...I can't wait to try out another resort. Of course I am already on the lookout for some great pieces to take along! Resort or not, here are some great summer picks! Enjoy!!
