Beauty Talk | Wedding Proof

Beauty Talk | Wedding Proof

Packing is hard for me.  I am very indecisive and it takes me forever to figure out what I want to bring, especially when it comes to products.  Obviously I can't take everything.  Although, if you've traveled with me, you may think I do. I realized it was time to bring out the big guns. I had to choose items that were small in size and could withstand late nights, long days and lots o' celebrating.  This was an easy choice considering I have been a loyal fan of all of these goodies for a while. Some were even used for my wedding and they definitely did they trick. Here's my must haves for products that will last all day and through the night. Enjoy!!

CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE in Passion : Great lipstick that is moisturizing yet lasts hours. It's almost like a stain. This will definitely be my go to lip color for the weekend.

WELLA Stay Firm Hairspray: Can you say humidity resistent? This baby is amazing. I use just a little bit over long curls to give a subtle hold. This can definitely be a firm hold, so a little goes a long way. Also, have UV protectors to protect color from fading. Nice!

Oversized Tee

Oversized Tee

One of my favorite summer staples is denim roll ups and a soft oversize tee. It gives off an "effortlessly chic" vibe yet it's completely practical in this 95+ degree heat. My go to shorts for summer are denim roll ups.  I haven't quite gotten into the whole "cut off" trend yet, so this is as close as I go. This shirt was a completely random yet amazing find at Forever 21. I love the soft cotton and oversized look. This necklace is just what this outfit needed to complete the look. Made by my fellow Texas gal pal,  Cathryn. You may remember her from here and here. I know I carry this Blair Ritchey clutch around everywhere but it's my favorite. Worth every penny.  Now on to some exciting news. I am flying out tonight to Illinois for April's wedding! It's finally here and I am so excited for her and Odie.  It shall be a glorious occasion and I can't wait to celebrate with all of our closest friends.

STYLE ME MONDAY

STYLE ME MONDAY

.01 /.02 /.03 /.04 /.05 /.06 /.07 /.08Happy Monday! How fun is that clutch and those arrow head earrings? Both on my list of wants. I hope you all had a great weekend. This past weekend was pretty successful for me and my husband. We had our very first garage sale with two very good friends. I was thrilled because we sold literally everything. All of our furniture... old clothes...knick knacks and in the process made a little cash money. It was so stinking exhausting, but so fun because we had great company! Now that we have no furniture, we have literally spent hours in IKEA and random furniture stores just lounging and testing out furniture. I'm starting to feel ...

Beauty Talk | Hair Care

Beauty Talk | Hair Care

This post takes me back to the good ole days of working at the beauty shop. In highschool, college, and up until last summer I worked at a local Beauty Store/Boutique. I LOVED it. I was pretty sure I found my other dream job! Ha! I loved researching products, attending trainings, and just helping people find good hair and skin care. Since I've been around "professional" products for the last 10 years, I have developed into somewhat of a product snob. Bad I know, but I guess you can say I have been brainwashed.  My justification is that I only wash my hair three times a week...so $20 a bottle doesn't seem as bad. My Husband would disagree. Loreal is a company that I have used for years.  They pretty much own the product industry. I have tried their drugstore products all the way to their high end Kerestase. While I love Kerestase, it can be so expensive!  I have found a product that is in the middle and works as well as Kerestase. The Serie Collection is amazing. I bought this little duo at my recent hair appointment and I have been thrilled with it. I chose the Intense Repair Shampoo and the Masque for my conditioner. This is perfect for the gal that colors, blowdrys, flat irons, curls, etc. Almost all of us ...

Neon Stripes

Neon Stripes

I have been on the lookout for a great pair of denim roll up shorts that are age appropriate yet still cute. Surprisingly enough, forever 21 had a great selection. Now, I definitely had to sort through the daisy dukes but I managed to find this great pair for a mere 20 bucks. Bargain right? I am still holding out for a nicer pair, but I figured these would do the trick for now. On a brighter note, how fun is the neon stitching on this embroidered top from J Crew?  On sale too! Happy Wednesday!

Hello Sweet Summer

Hello Sweet Summer

Joie Carney Dress // Shashi Bar Stud Earrings // Gorjana Knox Shimmer Bracelet // Shashi Etched Ring // Maya Brenner Initial Necklace // Clare Vivier Snake Print Clutch // Joie Lucia Sandals
Happy Monday Senoritas! I have an extra skip in my step this morning as it is my first day of summer. It feels so nice being able to sleep in till 7:00 and not waking up at 4:50 (i'm crazy, I know) and getting to sip coffee and lay back and catch up on episodes of the Kardashians and Hooda & Kathy Lee.
This summer I have some pretty big goals. I am not one that likes to just sit...I like to keep myself busy.  Austin and I have plans to update our apartment...like completely ...

Chris & Christina Get Married

Chris & Christina Get Married

I am a little late to posting these, but they are too lovely not to share. Over Memorial Day weekend we flew to San Francisco to attend our friends wedding. Yay, Chris and Christina! This was such a beautiful beach wedding.  I couldn't get over the weather. It was beyond perfect. I guess when you live in a beautiful place like this with ZERO percent humidity, it's crazy to not have an outdoor wedding.   You can pretty much bank on a gorgeous day. The venue was at an adorable bed and breakfast that over looked the beach. Not bad right? Here are some pictures of the rehearsal dinner and wedding! (Do) Enjoy!!
