Blazer Girl

IMG_0938

Something that every girl should own is a great blazer. Growing up, I can remember my mom rocking the blazer (complete with shoulder pads of course) and I thought it was the sign of power. Maybe because I thought my mom was awesome, or maybe because those shoulder pads were just so big. Either way, I’m glad to see they are making a come back (minus the shoulder pads).

To me, a blazer is the best way to give your wardrobe options. I love to layer basic tees, tank tops, and blouses with a good fitting blazer. If you are new to this, I suggest going with classic options like this black version from J Crew or this white one from Madewell. Blazer’s shouldn’t be a scary thing to try, instead have fun with it and try mixing it with clothes you already have in your closet.
