In My Travel Makeup Bag

Travel Makeup BagPacking for an upcoming trip or weekend getaway can sometimes be a daunting task. Particularly, when it comes to beauty products. If you’re like me, you don’t want to over pack. Especially, if you’re trying to fit everything in a carryon. With all the traveling we’ve been doing this past month, I’ve had several questions about my travel beauty routine and products that I was featuring on snapchat or instastories.  Here are the products I’ve been traveling with lately:

  1. Georgio Armani Silk Foundation: This foundation is a game changer. I actually got it as a gift from my in-laws and was pretty impressed with the coverage and how it feels on my skin. Though it doesn’t have SPF, I use this spray with SPF 50 to set my makeup. Has anyone tried this version? I may purchase it when I run out!
  2. Buxom Eye Shadow Palette: I picked these colors based on the shades I typically use most in pallets. This kit is pure genius and 100% custom. You may remember me snapping this over the holidays but I have really enjoyed it these past few months. Here are the colors I picked: Left to Right- Silk Sheets, Satin Seduction, Champagne Buzz, Gold Status, Style Icon, Mink Magnet
  3. Marc Jacobs Gel Eyeliner The best eyeliner I own. I received a sample of this in a Sephora birthday gift last year and have been hooked since. Its very creamy, yet stays on all day. It’s easy to use in the waterline too.
  4. NARS The Multiple Cream Blush Color in Orgasm:This cream to powder blush has been a product I have used for years. It’s easy to wear and I find it to be the perfect pink. I actually apply this with a brush and apply just like you would with a powder. This brush is the best I’ve used for this product.
  5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette: This contour palette is a classic and one of the most popular kits on the market. I like to use it to set my under eye are and to add a little definition to my cheekbones.
  6. Hourglass Fan Brush: I love using this brush for contouring. It’s dense bristles allow you to get a defined contour, yet still are flexible if you want to use it for a highlighter.
  7. IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara: This mascara is hands down one of the best I’ve ever tried. Seriously, it is so good. I’m doing a post next month on this mascara. Stay tuned!
  8. Shiseido Eyelash Curler: I never thought I would pay $20 for an eyelash curling…until I tried it for myself. I’ve had this for 3 years and have tried several others. This is still the best I’ve used. It keeps lashes curled and is gentle so you don’t have to worry about it taking out any of your precious lashes.
  9. Charlotte Tilbury Brow Pencil: This is a new product for me but I’ve really enjoyed using it. It has a brush on one end and the pencil on the other. Theres also a middle section that is a highlighter for under your brow. I like this pencil because it goes on easy and stays all day.
  10. Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brow Gel: This brow mascara is a must. I have really loved using my Tom Ford Brow Gel and didn’t think anything could compare until I tried this from Charlotte Tilbury. It’s a thin gel, so you don’t have to worry about it getting clumpy or sticky. It looks very natural, yet gives your brows just what they need to appear more full.
  11. Bobbi Brown Longwear Eyeshadow Stick: Another product I have used for years and have re-bought a few times. This eyeshadow stick does not mess around. It literally stays all day! I use this and smudge with my regular eyeshadow brush. My favorite color is Golden Pink. It’s not too pink, but gives a soft golden peach color.

I’ve been needing a new brow pencil, I think I’ll go to sephora today and try the Charlotte Tilbury you suggested!

Thanks for this post! I’m a makeup junkie but haven’t tried many of these products. Now I have an excuse! I really like your nail polish — could you please share the color? Or is it the dip powder (that I haven’t yet tried?) I don’t like long nails and yours always look nice. Love your blog!

I always struggle with wanting to bring things that will allow me to do a couple looks (without packing the kitchen sink). With pressed powdered products, bringing items that I won’t cry if it gets damaged in transit, which happens even in carryon sometimes (apparently I’m rough on my stuff). –Meaghan, http://www.meaghanrae.com

Great picks you have there chick, I love the LSF but never thought to set it before with an SPF setting spray, I think I actually just assumed it must have SPF in it as all foundations tend to have it these days, I must start doing this! xo

I love Armani Luminous Silk but it’s a little too pricey for me to use everyday. Great foundation tho!
