This trench-style coat has quickly become something I consider a fall essential. It’s lightweight and perfect for throwing on over your favorite silk cami or sweater. I wore this a few weeks ago to an opening at a new local restaurant and got several compliments on it. It was a more casual event, but this lightweight coat was the perfect layer to my rather simple outfit.
I also found this shorter version at Nordstrom if you are looking for a new army green jacket (you can see how I styled it here + here). After wearing this trench coat the other day, I discovered that it can also be worn as a dress. Two for one, yes please!
Thanks for stopping by! xx Ashley
Austin and I wanted to take a moment and share that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Harvey. We have several friends who live in Houston and the photos they have sent us are truly devastating. Yesterday, I shared on Instagram Stories a way for Dallas locals to donate to the Dallas shelters. I had several DM’s and emails, so I want to put the information here so you can bookmark the address if you are local and want to help.
LOCAL DONATION CENTER: 15660 Dallas Parkway, Monday through Friday 3 pm to 8 pm. They are in need of flip flops or shower shoes, new underwear and socks (all sizes), non-perishable food, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, baby diapers, wipes and formula. Trusted World works as a big logistics center for Red Cross, FEMA, and other non-profit organizations.
AMERICAN RED CROSS: Help people affected by Hurricane Harvey by visiting redcross.org, calling 1- 800-RED CROSS or texting the word HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from this disaster.
