Girl on a Budget: The Striped Midi Skirt

There’s something about a midi skirt that just gets me excited for spring. I usually gravitate towards a feminine, yet somewhat edgy style and this striped midi skirt just seemed to fit my style perfectly. I love midi skirts because they really can fit any occasion. Office, date-night, brunch, classroom — you get the idea. It just works. I’ve worn my midi skirts with chunky knits in the fall or a classic blouse for something more polished. I don’t usually do “cropped tops” but this one was actually perfect for this high waisted skirt. The sleeves are amazing and it wasn’t too revealing.

I paired this with my espadrille platforms, but I also love the idea of wearing this with these slip-on sneakers (on sale) for an “off-duty” vibe. I’ve been wearing sneakers so much lately. They really are ideal for travel, those who walk to work or spend a lot of time on your feet.

This morning I’m off to an event with the Milly team while they are here in Dallas. The Milly presentation is always one of my favorites during NYFW and I can’t wait to hear more about their upcoming collection. I will be wearing this pink dress (thank you, Milly!)…love the ruffle details.
