Summer Workwear under $150

I can still remember feeling grateful that as a teacher we had summers off, mainly because dressing for work in the summer can be tricky. Even warm spring or early fall days in Texas meant getting creative with what I wore to school. (If you live in the South, you know what I’m talking about!) And even though I no longer have to go into a traditional setting, I do have business-related work year-round and the need for summer work wear.

Which is why I’m loving Banana Republic’s Summer Collection. You guys already know I’m a big fan of Banana, and this collection is one of my favorites to date. It’s full of summer work wear that can be transitioned into the weekends, which I always appreciate when shopping. I’ve actually worn this striped tie dress to a few meetings and if you saw my Summer Handbag Guide, you saw the first peek at this collection! I love the muted stripes and the way it fits – flattering yet breezy.

Let’s not forget about accessories, either. If you haven’t found your perfect straw bag for summer yet, this large tote might be the one. I can seriously fit everything, whether it’s my laptop or pool essentials. I’m clearly a fan of slip-ons (probably my most worn style of shoe), and these airy white ones are nice for keeping things cute, casual, and comfortable.
