Ok, I admit it. I have a thing for blazers. And if you’ve read my blog for a while, you know I’m all about  layering. I am a firm believer in the “third piece” rule, no matter the season. And though it is crazy hot this time of year, I have 3 tips to help you layer, while keeping cool. 

HOW TO DO SUMMER LAYERS 

1. Keep it Light 

For summer layering, I find it best to look for lightweight fabrics that breath. This blazer is extremely lightweight without looking too thin or sheer. Due to the nature of the fabric, you can easily scrunch or roll up the sleeves which is more sutable for a summer outfit. 

2. It’s All in the Cami 

I am a firm beliver in investing in a few good camis or white tee’s. Here, I’m wearing a tee from Veronica Beard and I like that it’s incredibly soft, and not sheer at all. Normally though, I prefer a sleeveless cami. like this one which I have in black and white. It’s so good and finally restocked! 

3. Pair It With Shorts or Cropped Denim 

A good way to beat the heat, is by pairing your blazer with shorts or cropped denim. I found these jeans last month in California and I haven’t stopped wearing them. I love the frayed hem!
