How to Step Up Your Fall Workwear

Sometimes, planning your workwear can feel redundant or lack creativity. We’ve all been there! You have so much on your plate the last thing you want to worry about it is dressing the part. Last year, I officially launched the Wear to Work series in hopes to make that a little easier for you and share some resources to build you capsule work wardrobe. Today, I’m sharing a few fall inspired options that will give you a pep in your step as you head into the office.

The Not-So-Basic Blouse

It’s no secret I love a good bow-tie blouse. This blouse not only looks amazing with your favorite pants but also denim, under a sleeveless dress or with a pencil skirt.

Cropped Wide Leg Trouser

Plaid is so hot this season and I love the idea of wearing these with a black bodysuit and strappy heels out for date night. These are the perfect pants to take you from desk to happy hour. I also have my eye on the Marled Knit Wide Leg Pant — they look so soft!

The Stacked Heel (that is actually comfortable)

Don’t limit these beauties to the desk, you can easily get a head start on your holiday outfit planning with these bow suede shoes (also come in leopard). The bow detail and suede fabric make this shoe anything but basic.

I don’t know their secret, but Ann Taylor makes one heck of a shoe. The suede leather is incredibly comfortable. Full disclosure, we shot this outfit in downtown Dallas and we had to walk a few blocks to find this location. Initially, I was going to throw on flats while walking to our location but kept these shoes on the entire time. My feet didn’t hurt and they were really easy to walk in. At one point I forgot I was even wearing them — highly recommend! I also ordered these boots and found them to be just as comfortable.

What are you workwear staples for fall? xx Ashley
