4 Shoes that Can Dress Up Your Casual Style

I feel like my style has gotten a little more casual recently (I’m blaming mom life). And although I love a good special occasion or workwear, mom jeans, a comfy basic tee and a good blazer or cardigan is basically my uniform right now. There are times when I need to keep things a little more polished, though, and this is when I rely on my shoes. I’m a believer that small things like shoes can make a big impact and kind of dress up more casual outfits. It’s all in the details, right?

Below, I linked a few different styles of shoes I rely on to dress up my casual style these days.

Are you looking for more casual outfit inspiration or dressed up? Let me know!

xx, Ashley

Mules

I heavily rely on sophisticated pairs of mules to polish up my outfits these days. I have several pairs in rotation as I like to have a variety of options depending on the occasion. Some with short heels, suede, animal print, etc. Plus mules are the perfect shoe to transition into fall weather.

Low block heels

I love a good pair of strappy, low block heels, even during fall. They instantly take any casual outfit up a few notches in my opinion. As the temps drop, I suggest picking up a good pair of slingbacks or completely closed low heels like these. They will serve you well, trust me.

Embellished or patterned booties

I’m seeing a lot of studded booties or pairs embellished with pearls as well as tons of snakeskin and other animal prints. You already know I’m a huge fan of the snakeskin trend, which I will definitely be relying on this fall and winter to dress up any outfit.

Tall boots

Any denim outfit will be 10x chicer if you add a good tall or OTK boot. Stick to neutrals like black, tan, or this brown croc style I’m eyeing. This way they’re super versatile and you can use them to dress up denim but also style with a dress and tights for more formal occasions.

Those mules listed in this blog are exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been having a hard time finding the right casual footwear for my job. I’ll have to see if I can find something like the options you went over!
