Today I want to highlight a handful of women run Black-owned businesses that create and sell a variety of beautiful, high-quality products. While it’s always important to diversify where you shop, it’s more crucial now than ever with a disproportionate amount of Black-owned businesses being negatively affected by Covid-19. The most recently available Federal Reserve data shows that black business owners are denied loans at twice the rate of white owners, so they are more likely to have trouble finding capital to survive the pandemic, among endless other unfair statistics.
