4 Ways to Style a T-Shirt Dress

The t-shirt dress is one of those staples that I always have in my closet. Details of them change slightly from year to year but it’s definitely a closet staple for me. Currently, I’m into t-shirt midi dresses, like this one. Love that the style provides a bit more coverage and in my opinion, looks even chicer than a shorter option (which, let’s be honest, I still totally like). Be sure to size down though, I found it to run really boxy.

If you’re looking to switch up how you style a t-shirt dress, here are 4 options!

xx Ashley

Look 1: Everday Casual Option One

First up, let’s start with what I’m wearing in these images. I actually created 2 separate ‘everyday casual’ type looks for this post since it’s what I wear most regularly. Easy, comfortable, and cute.

Look 2: Date Night

A t-shirt dress on a date night is something I can get behind. And I mean, we all have to appreciate an item that can take you from mom duty to date night with a few slight changes, right? I mixed in an edgy faux leather jacket with a feminine shoe trend I’m really into (more on padded leather sandals here if you’re interested). I’d probably throw on a bit more makeup, spruce up my curls if needed, and call it a day for this look.

Look 3: Transition to Fall

This is always the time of the year where the transition to fall seems very far off, at least in Dallas, but I do like to plan ahead. And you know I can’t resist fall shopping (I have already got quite a few things for fall 2020). You could also recreate this look with what’s already in your closet.

Look 4: Everyday Casual Option Two

One more option for weekend errands, mom life, or working from home. I’m all about these sneakers (I went up a 1/2 size in these) right now and love how they add a cool, effortless element to a dress or skirt. If you want to see more neutral sneakers I’m into, don’t miss this post.
