The Sneakers to Buy If You Don’t Want to Splurge on Golden Goose

Whenever I wear Golden Goose sneakers, I always get the same questions. Are they worth it? and Do you have recommendations for a smaller budget? The answer to both, in my opinion, is yes. I love the Golden Goose sneakers that I have and truly feel like the quality is unbeatable, alongside comfort. But I also completely understand the second question surrounding budget. I know not everyone wants to spend $400+ on sneakers and that it’s kind of ridiculous, but then again, shopping and trying out fashion is a big part of my job.

To answer that second question (finally), I’m going to share a handful of shoes that look similar to Golden Goose. Here’s the thing, though. I can’t speak to the quality and wear of these as I haven’t tried most of them. So while the look is there, definitely try these out for yourself and see what you think. There are a lot of these sneakers on the market, but I’m sharing 8 that stand out to me visually.

What’s your pick?

xx Ashley

Sneakers to Buy If You Don’t Want to Splurge on Golden Goose

STEVE MADDEN

Steve Madden probably has the most on the market and are usually around $100. I’ve seen other influencers rave about these Rezza White Sneakers in terms of comfort, and I like the neutral vibe. If you prefer the full animal print look that Golden Goose is known for, this pair is cute and on sale! I also like the platform and cream + white combo here. And the Parka Studded Sneaker will give you an edgier, studded look for $60.

P448

While these are more affordable than Golden Goose, they’re still around $200-$300. I tend to trust what Shopbop curates, though, so I might try this pair out. You can see a lot of other options on their site.

SAM EDELMAN

If you want a toned down pre-scuffed sole, I’d check out the Sam Edelman Aubrie Sneaker. They’re clean but still give that perforated branding. I’m always a fan of Sam Edelman and these have fabulous reviews ($100).

GOODNIGHT MACAROON

I’ve also seen several people recommend this Star Distressed Sneaker that comes in several finishes for $85.

I have GG as well as P448s and I find the P448s have a bit more cushioning and are more comfortable for a wider foot (no raw leather rubbing against you to break in) but are also heavier. I tried mid tops in both styles and kept t the GG Midstar simply bc the P448s were so heavy.
