Hey friends, I’m back with my monthly series breaking down my very favorite items in one category. As always, I try to get a lot of wear out of the basics of my closet and you can see my Top 3 Jeans and Leggings from previous posts. Today, we’re covering button-downs!

I actually did a huge try-on and order to find the best button-down for different categories a couple years ago. Since then, I’ve updated my picks a bit which you can read about below.

TOP 3 | BUTTON DOWNS

1. BEST OVERALL: Anine Bing can do no wrong so it’s no surprise her Mika Shirt is the best of the best. This material is thick, doesn’t wrinkle easily, and has the best-oversized fit. I have a small (also was able to wear it here pregnant). It’s recommended to dry clean, but I will spot treat when I get makeup on the collar and it cleans up well. It comes in several colors.

2. BEST DAILY WEAR: This Mango Cotton Shirt is a nice budget-friendly option that you can see styled on me several ways here. It does run big; I would recommend sizing down.

3. BEST BUDGET PICK: This $25 Oversized Black Shirt is another button-down I wear repeatedly, in black. The menswear-inspired button-down feels classic and effortless to me. It’s oversized but has a feminine fit. I took a small — love the length and feel of this shirt. It’s lightweight, so you can pull it off in the summer.
