Camo Scarf

Camo Scarf

Today I wanted to share one of my go-to looks for Fall. As I've mentioned before, this is the best time to grab those light layers.  For us in Dallas, the weather is still somewhat of a mix.  It can be hot, but occasionally the nights will get to the low 70's.  My classroom is always so cold so I will literally take a cardigan with me everyday but what about throughout the day? How can we still look ready for Fall yet dress appropriately for the weather? Well my friends at J Crew and Gap sure know whats up.  The J Crew Camo Scarf was such a hit last year and you can now find it on sale here. I have worn that scarf so many times and I plan to continue wearing it throughout this season. It's light and airy making it a perfect transition piece.  I mix it with almost every color and I loved wearing it with this navy Gap cardigan.  I can always trust Gap to have great layering pieces. I'm a teacher, so it's no surprise I love cardigans right?  How do layer for Fall? de   Wearing: J Crew Factory Camo Scarf | Gap

On My Desk

On My Desk

Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to share some new desk accessories as of late.  I often get asked questions about my desk (both at home and at school) and usually they involve: Where'd you get that? and Where do you shop? I am always updating my desk setup with new gadgets or little containers to help me organize. I can't help but love cute accessories to keep me motivated to get things done. I always shop online to find unique and one of a kind desk accessories. White Elephant Designs makes the best acrylics. I love using their letter holder to hold letters (imagine that!) and a few business cards. Monogrammed trinkets are always a fun way to personalize your work space!  Waiting on Martha is another shop that I am constantly checking out. She has amazing finds from Kate Spade and so many cute paper goods that I could easily find an excuse to buy every note pad on her site! Target is another place I recommend checking out. It's always affordable and their

Tweed Peplum

Fall is easily my favorite time of the year, but I'm finding it a little difficult to enjoy with Dallas temperatures still in the high 80's and 90's. Naturally, I am wanting to gravitate towards heavy layers, moto jackets and scarves but as of now-- it's not happening. I was pretty surprised to find this Tweed Peplum Jacket from Target. Can you believe it's under 35 bucks? This jacket was the perfect compromise because it's actually pretty thin (not sheer by any means, but it's just not super thick).  I wore it with this sleeveless tee and I can't wait to wear it with a long sleeve blouse when it gets cooler. If your searching for a professional look, I suggest pairing this with a black pencil skirt or a pair of slim fitting slacks. The options are endless with this versatile Fall piece!    Wearing: Target Tweed Peplum ...

Piperlime Collection

Piperlime Collection

When people ask me about online shopping, I always recommend Piperlime. I've shopped with them since I was in college and it's still been one of my go to sites for affordable fashion. Not only do they carry over  brands, but they also have some pretty legit sales on a regular basis. When I was in New York a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to hear about the new Piperlime Collection. This brand is exclusive to Piperlime and I was pretty impressed. This Gold Print Blouse was a crowd pleaser at fashion week and I now can see why so many girls were swooning over this fall staple. I can't wait to throw this on with a leather skirt or oxblood skinnies. To see more of the new Piperlime Collection, check it out here! A Treat for your Feet

A Treat for your Feet

I love heels just as much as the next girl. But there's just something about slipping on a good pair of flats after a night on the town or after a long day on my feet. Saturday, I tried my first pair of Tieks Ballet Flats and I have worn them every day since. They are so comfortable! After seeing my fellow teachers and blogger friends sporting these flats, I knew I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Some cool features include the little pouch that is included in the box, the signature blue soles, and the cute way they fold up making it super easy to carry in your bag. The colors and print vary but my top three favorites are the Sand Snake, Leopard Print, and Fuchsia. You can't go wrong with a pop of color or a fun print! Shop The Look: Tieks Ballet Flats in Sand Snake (Fit: True to size; I normally wear an 8 and these are an 8) c/o | similar Striped Tunic | ...

West Elm Style Session

West Elm Style Session

West Elm Dallas & The Teacher Diva - Workspace Style Session from West Elm Dallas on Vimeo. Happy Tuesday everyone! I am excited to share a little project I have been working on with West Elm Dallas  + Mockingbird Station. When West Elm Dallas reached out to me to share what inspires me, it was easy. My home office. It's the space where I can go and feel inspiration, creativity and oddly enough, relaxed. Not only do I use it for blogging, but I am also using it as an area to create lessons and seek inspiration in the classroom as well. Therefore it's important to me to have a space that is functional for both areas of my life. With the help of West Elm's awesome staff and the Mockingbird Station Lofts, we were able to create a simple, yet chic, work area. I kept it simple with the Parsons Desk in white and added pops of colors through prints, florals and decorative objects like this adorable french bulldog plate (I'm obsessed!). We want to see what inspires you for Fall and give you an opportunity for you to win a $500 West Elm Dallas ...

Pink & Black

Pink & Black

As I mentioned last week, I am loving track pants for Fall. Not only are they on point for the season, but so versatile for day to day wear. These track pants from Dress Up Boutique are the perfect option for work or play. The zipper detail and soft texture are just a few of the reasons why I love these pants. Saturday, I wore this look out to dinner for date night, but Sunday, I threw these suckers back on with slip on flats and a slouchy tee for an afternoon of errands and cleaning the house. I love it! How do you wear track pants? Wearing: Dress Up Boutique The City Life Pants (Fit: runs a little big, but that's the "look" Wearing a ...

Fancy Pants

Fancy Pants

TGIF friends! Wanted to share a look from NYFW and a trend that I am loving this Fall. I can't get enough of these pants, and while my husband says they look like pajamas, I just shake my head! Silly boys. These pants are everywhere for Fall. If you are a little skeptical, I suggest you go with a solid color like these from J Crew (also on sale!) to try it out. For me, I had to wear heels with a more relaxed pant.  I have seen drapey pants worn with flats, and it looked adorable, however for me- I needed the extra height. Have you tried these pants before? I would love to hear your thoughts on this trend! xx   Wearing: J Crew Pants (similar style, FIT- size down!) | Topshop Surplice Top (FIT: Wearing a 4, US 0-2 ) | YSL Bag | Bauble Bar Inca Necklace (major sale!) c/o | Lipstick MAC Lipliner in Hip-N-Happy with YSL Lipstain #17 Encre Rose on top |  Thin Gold Ring Set | Bauble Bar Pearl ...

How To Style Your Dresser

How To Style Your Dresser

When we moved, the first thing I wanted to organize was my dresser. My closet was a close second, but I also use my dresser as a vanity. So in order for my morning routine to go quickly and smooth,  I wanted to have all my products organized and easily accessible. My goal was to keep it feminine and clean. And though I don't feel 100% done with this project, I did want to share a quick look on how to update your vanity or dresser. 1. I love prints and books. They are a fun way to add character and personality to your space. I wanted something that went with our decor and would compliment the neutral colors throughout our room and bathroom. 2. My makeup was always my biggest battle. I had a habit where I would just toss everything in my makeup bag..or drawer, which was fine until I couldn't find what I was looking for or until the lid came off and makeup would spill...it was just a mess. I wanted something to display my makeup in a pretty yet functional way. This Monogramed Acrylic Box from White Elephant Designs is a life savor for those who love organization.     3. Finally, I added some extra items on my
