Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

UPDATE: The 2016 sale has ended but be sure to checkout the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 guide.   Happy Tuesday! As you may know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Pre-Sale is here!  I already shared with you some items that I found on Sunday, but I went back and found some other great steals. I found this Philip Lim Pashli Crossbody Satchel on sale (can't believe it) and I am seriously debating on scooping this up. It's a bag that is clearly wearable all year and it never goes on sale. This Chloe Leather Hobo is another great find that would make for a beautiful Fall bag. The leather is gorgeous. As I mentioned before, this is Early Access only, which means only card holders can shop. If you are interested in signing up for the debit card, you can read my opinion here. The sale is open to all ...

Beauty Talk | Pink Lips

Beauty Talk | Pink Lips

Lip color has always been one my favorite beauty buys. No matter how I feel or whatever mood I'm in, buying a lipgloss can always cheer me up! By the looks of it, I am a true fan of the pinks. These are some of my favorites and ones that have proved to be the most flattering on various skin tones (at least according to tons of reviews). This YSL Lipgloss is the absolute best pink, it lasts for hours and keeps my lips super soft. What do you use...any favorites? Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2014

UPDATE: The 2016 sale has ended but be sure to checkout the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 guide.   It's not common that you find me posting on a Sunday, but I just got back from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I couldn't wait to share the best of the best with you guys! Right now Early Access is only available for card holders, but it's worth checking out! What is Early Access? It's an exclusive time to shop the sale early (before all the good stuff is gone!) using your Nordstrom Debit or Credit Card. Just log in to your account and click my links to shop! (or, just take a sneek peak anyways even if you're not a card holder) **Side note: I've never (ever) been a fan of signing up for "store" credit cards or anything like that, but this is one that I actually went for. I chose to do the debit card since it links straight to your account and acts like your normal debit card. You still get all the same perks as the credit card. Happy Shopping! | Click To Shop |  ...

On The Go

On The Go

One of the best things about living in the Dallas area is the abundant of restaurants, shops and local entertainment. Our particular location is unique in that we can walk to pretty much anything. It can be bad on the ol' wallet, but it sure makes dining and brunching a blast. Since we to walk almost everywhere, I like to carry a bag large enough to keep all my items on hand. With my Goyard tote, I am able to easily carry my camera, makeup bag, business cards, journal and a Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffee. I can always go for a little caffeine pick-me-up at some point in the afternoon, and the new Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffee is the perfect solution. Plus, it makes for a refreshing treat in the 100+ degree weather! Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffee beverages are the perfect blend of premium Starbucks coffee and 2 percent milk. Available in four delicious offerings: Coffee + Milk, Low Calorie Coffee + Milk, Vanilla, and Caramel, Starbucks Iced Coffee ready-to-drink beverages are the perfect on-the-go refreshment to get you through the daily commute, big projects such as spring cleaning, or an exciting road trip with friends. Look for it at major grocery and convenience stores, available nationwide. Fly Wheel Summer Special

Fly Wheel Summer Special

Every Summer I get really excited (yes excited) about establishing a good work out routine. During the school year I try to keep one up but I find it difficult to stay consistent and find the energy to go to the gym after teaching all day. That all changes during the Summer. During this time of year, I have that energy and motivation to hit the gym 4-5 times a week. It also helps when you actually enjoy your workout. Recently, I have tried Fly Wheel Sports. I have always enjoyed Barre classes and was pretty excited to hear about their Summer Special for new clients. I started with trying Fly Barre and then got the courage to try Fly Wheel. Whether you spin, barre or both it's an amazing workout (just get ready, it tends to bring the sweat out in people!) Fly Wheel Sports in Plano is offering a Summer Special for new clients. From now until July 15 new clients can get 30 days at $99 for Flywheel and FlyBarre Plano classes only. Oh and the first class is free, so definitely check it out if your are interested! Wearing: Fly Wheel Sport Cheetah Love Tank c/o | Under Armour Back In Action Tank (on sale!) | Nike Legend 2.0 Capris | Nike Running Shoes | One Truffle

Love Always Couture

Love Always Couture

Golden monograms and dainty studs are just a few of my favorite things- and these pieces from Love Always Couture take the cake. About a year ago I was introduced to Stephanie Diaz's brand after seeing her pretty jewelry constantly show up on my Instagram feed (which has now lead me to an obsession with her gold jewelry).  Stephanie's line consists of monograms and personalized jewelry that you can make one of a kind. She also has fun statement pieces as well! Even though I’m a dainty jewelry person at heart, I’ve always been drawn to Stephanie’s monogram designs – they’re perfect to layer with my other pieces. I have worn this Classic Monogram Necklace daily and love to pair it with my Engraved Monogramed Ring. The browsing part is easy but deciding on favorites is pretty much impossible. Everything is just so good! Today I’m drooling over this Lip Ring, this Nameplate Bracelet and the

Casually Polished

Casually Polished

Sometimes, simplicity is best. Don't get me wrong, it's always fun to get dressed up and put on the frills, but as of late a simple tee & blazer have been my uniform. I've never been much of a "t-shirt & jeans" kinda gal, but adding the blazer has me changing my mind.  It still feels casual, but the white blazer makes it look crisp and polished.  Jewelry isn't necessary to pull off this look, but I really wanted some good layering pieces like this shark tooth necklace from Oia Jules (I'm obsessed!). It's Summer, of course a giant shark tooth necklace is needed! WEARING: Windsor Boyfriend Blazer c/o ( Similar option here) | J Crew Vintage Graphic Tee (on sale!) | Joes Distressed Jeans (on sale!) |  J Crew Belt (on sale!) | Oia Jules Double Trouble Necklace, Jaws Remix Necklace, and Tiffany Bracelet c/o | Maya ...

Summer Layers

Summer Layers

Layers shouldn't limit themselves only to Fall. Pairing lightweight fabrics and breezy materials with stylish separates is a great way to transition from the heat to the air-conditioning. Even in Dallas, I find myself reaching for an airy scarf or lightweight cardigan. This is one of my favorite looks because it can easily be worn from work to play or vice versa. Old Navy has an amazing selection of Summer Cardigans and layers for Summer. How do you layer during this season? On Staying Organized…

On Staying Organized…

Being a teacher requires some type  a lot of organization. I find that when I am not organized, my whole day is thrown off (a little OCD much?). However, between teaching full time, blogging on this site and being a wife to my sweet husband, I find that I easily forget the things I don't write down. I'm no expert in this area (by any means) but I have found a few things that actually work for me to stay on track. Below you will see my tips on how I get things done at work & home and little things that help me stay organized from day to day. The List- Now, I am totally the type of person who has to write everything down. I get some kind of satisfaction from writing and crossing items off my list when completed. Any one else out there? But I once was told that sometimes, you just need to do rather than waste time thinking about my next move. For instance, make a mental list and start taking action before having to write it all down. I've noticed that when I wake up with a mental "to-do list" I am far more motivated and successful at getting things done than actually planning each step. There's something to be said about the list, but sometimes, you just gotta go and GSD. 3-5 Goals- Weather I write a list or not, I do like to set some goals for the day. This keeps me motivated and on the right track to finishing important tasks. I limit it to 3-5 tasks simply because more can feel overwhelming. I have to remind myself that I want my goals to be manageable and ...
