Sweater Style

Sweater Style

I'm not usually one who wears a lot of pink, but when I saw this bubble gum sweater at J Crew it was love at first sight. Usually I have to talk my self into wearing pink and it's almost a struggle for me to find ways to wear it. Crazy, because pink is one of my favorite colors. I guess when it comes to my wardrobe, it's lacking in the color department. However, this sweater is super easy to wear, especially with this Statement Necklace from Pink Pineapple Shop.  I chose to keep it simple and pair it with my favorite fluted skirt from J Crew and these shoes. Definitely not the most original choice, but boy do they make you feel like a new woman! Here's to a great Tuesday! Thanks so much for reading! P.S >>I have received quite a few emails from some of you regarding my bloglovin account and rss feed. After undergoing some site changes, we were still working out some kinks. Things should be back up and running now. Thank you for your patience! XO

Skin Care Resolutions

Skin Care Resolutions

Each New Year, like most people, I try to set a few resolutions. Today, I'm sharing one focused on skin care. one more.  As a beauty junkie, I am always excited to try new products and discover what works best for my skin. But sometimes, I struggle with maintaining good skin care habits. Establishing a consistent skin care routine is an investment in your skin. The aging process will be much kinder if you consistently utilize the right products. Recently, I have been trying the H2O skin care line. And I am happy to say, I have found my 2014 skin care line. And I love it!

  • CLEANSE My skin type has always been oily and sensitive. I usually stick with a mild gel cleanser to reduce any irritation. The H2O Plus Face Oasis Cleansing Water fits the bill. It removes all my makeup without leaving an oily or greasy feeling. As an alternative, I have also used (and love!) the Sea Results Sea Mineral Cleanser. The Mineral Cleanser is perfect for those with drier skin types.
  • TONE I’ve never been into toners – what do they do? And why do I really need ...

Serious Lip Care

Serious Lip Care

This time of year I always deal with the most annoying problem---chapped lips. I'm sure most of you have the same issue and if you don't please tell me your secret! I have a drawer full of chapstick, lip balms, and scrubs but nothing seems to do the trick. I know this is caused by the change of weather, but I am determined to get down to the bottom of this. I have searched high and low for some reviews on "serious lip care" and found the list below to be the "best sellers". I am anxious to try the The Lip Slip and Diptyque Soothing Lip Balm, both got amazing reviews! Please let me know what works for you! XX Image via ...

Beauty Talk | Clarisonic

Beauty Talk | Clarisonic

For months, I had been debating on purchasing the Clarisonic Mia. It's not exactly budget friendly, so I wanted to do some research and make sure this was right for me. I read a plethora of reviews, watched several videos, and finally decided to give it a shot. I have been using it for the last couple weeks and I am already obsessed. My face is so soft! I use my Clarisonic 4-5 times a week...usually at night.  I start by taking off my makeup with Say Yes To Cucumbers Facial Wipes, then proceed to use the Clarisonic with my Purity Face Cleanser by Philosophy. I can honestly say it has improved my skin texture and leaves my face super clean. The best part, is that Clarisonic makes special brush heads for every skin type. I have sensitive skin, so I use Delicate Brush Head and it works great.  My skin thanks you, Clarisonic! Cable Turtleneck

Cable Turtleneck

Texas is known for it's crazy weather. For instance, we had beautiful 60 degree weather this weekend and now it's 25 degrees outside. Typical.  However, I am hoping that the cooler temps stick around—I’m all about getting cozy in thicker sweaters like this Cable Turtleneck from Gap. It's perfect to bundle up in for those really chilly days or wear with simple layers on a warmer winter day. As you know, I love neutral colors, so I couldn’t pass up this cream colored sweater. Gap is also having a sale now, so it's the perfect time to snatch up some cold weather basics. I am loving this and this...looks like I will be adding those to my closet!   WEARING: GAP Cable Knit Turtleneck (on sale!) // GAP Chambray Shirt // H&M Coated Denim (similar ...

Goals and Such

Goals and Such

Happy New Year! The arrival of the New Year always generates a "fresh start" feeling that motivates me to make virtuous goals and resolutions. While some of my resolutions may change from year to year, the reason I make these commitments is always the same. I am pretty much convinced that if I can achieve them, I'll feel that much more satisfied. The trouble is, I always proceed to set unrealistic resolutions that I ultimately fail. This year, mine are simple and easy. Bring it on 2014! 1. Find that work to life balance- This will be a tough one for me! My biggest weakness is time management and organization. I am determined to figure this out in 2014. Any advice is welcome! 2. Pray more-  Austin and I have a goal to pray together everyday. This is something we do and value in our relationship, but it's not as often as we'd like. Over the holidays, his Grandmother told us the key to a successful marriage is to pray with your husband everyday. Considering she's had 50+ years of happiness, I'll take her up one that. 3. Start the home buying process- ahh, scary! 4.  Travel- one of my favorite things to do. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. I look forward to the travels of 2014! 5. Create healthy habits- I never get enough sleep, I hardly exercise and I love candy. That's a bad combination right there.... tackling this one asap! I hope you all have a blessed 2014 ...
