BaubleBar X Pantene

IMG_8462 If there’s one thing you can count on in Texas, it’s the extreme heat (ok and the humidity). Two things that do not pair well with hair. Due to the unfortunate heat, I’ve been really inspired to find pretty hairstyles that help minimize frizz and are relatively low maintenance.

I was super excited to try out the new Pantene Stylers Collection. I have a weakness for hair products (you guys know this) so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Blow Out Extend Dry Shampoo and Flexible Hold Hair Spray.  I used these products to create three different hairstyles to help beat the heat. To top it off, I styled each look with some BaubleBar jewelry to add a little sparkle.

Side Braid Ponytail- This is an easy look for second day hair. I start by using Pantene Blowout Extend Dry Shampoo. The smell is awesome and it gives my hair a fresh clean look. It also gives some texture so I can get a little volume. Just spray in your roots (on top and under the first few layers by the crown) and gently rub your hands through the roots. Then, I made a simple braid on the side of my hair. I tie it with a little elastic then I pull all my hair back into a loose pony tail. I like to take out the little elastic that was holding the braid and throw in a bobby pin (you can leave it in too, whatever’s easier).   After my hair is in the ponytail, I pull the hair up to give it more height. Don’t focus on it looking perfect, the idea is for it to be a little messy and carefree. I used the Pantene Stylers Flexible Hold Hairspray to give my hair a little more volume. It still gives hold, but it’s not sticky and it’s easy to work with. Last, I take a one inch piece of hair from the bottom of my ponytail and wrap it around the hair tie. Tuck or pin it in place. I paired this look with my favorite BaubleBar Ariel Earrings and BaubleBar x Maya Brenner Initial Necklace  to add a little glam.

Side Braid within Braid- This is a great look to keep your hair up and out of your face in the heat. I start my using Pantene Flexible Hold Hairspray on my roots. This gives it a little grit and makes it easy to work with. I take about an inch of my hair at the root (you could definitely take more, depending on how big you want your side braid to be) and start with a simple braid. I keep braiding until I hit the top of my ear. Now is when I use the rest of my hair to make the bigger side braid. I just braid like normal making sure I keep the hair on the side that I want it to fall. I finish with the Pantene Extra Strong Hold Hairspray to keep in in place and to help with all the flyaways. This braid was the perfect solution to show off my BaubleBar Firecracker Drop Earrings (that are surprisingly light weight).

Low Bun- This is one of my favorite looks. It’s easy and while messy, it still looks put together and polished. I start with using Pantene Blow Out Extend Dry Shampoo (I’m telling you, this stuff is amazing). Like I mentioned a few spray at the roots and under the first few layers at the top should do the trick. I take my hair, and throw it in a low loose pony tail. I say loose because you want to be able to pull some hair up to give it a little volume. Start by spraying your ponytail (the hair hanging down) with Pantene Flexible Hold Hairspray. This little trick makes it easier to twist and wrap your hair into a circle to create the “bun” look. After I twist and make into a circle, I then use another hair tie and tie it around the bun. This will look pretty messy, but I promise it will be fixed. Then take bobbi pins, I use about 8, and start pulling the hair to make it look full. Pin the pieces of hair to give it that full bun look. I just keep pinning until I feel its secure and the shape that I like. Finish with some Pantene Extra Strong Hairspray focusing on the bun and then all over to keep everything in it’s place. To complete the look, I wore my BaubleBar Hayworth Gem Drop Earrings and my BaubleBar x Maya Brenner Initial Necklace.
