Happy Friday! Today, I am heading off to Denver for my friends 30th birthday. I’ve never been to Denver before, but from what I hear, it’s a pretty neat place. I am going with a few of the girls I used to teach with, so I am looking forward to catching up and spending some quality time with them.
While this is a short trip, I want to pack things that are versatile and functional. After all, it is much colder in Denver than Dallas (which I am so excited about) and sweaters are a must. I immediately thought back to this cozy, layered look from last week.
This cowl neck poncho might be my favorite sweater I own. Not only is this one the perfect neutral color, but the oversized shape is exactly what I’m looking for. This is one of those sweaters that can be worn with stripes, neutrals or brights, so it’s pretty versatile. I found it at Modcloth after searching for a plaid blanket scarf (they have so many under $25) and knew it was something I would wear all season long. Oh, and if you’re looking for a new coat, this one is also noteworthy!
Layers like this are a go-to for me and will definitely get me through a chilly Colorado weekend.
Thanks for stopping by! xx
