Goodbye, 2015

Braid Tutorial

As I look back at 2015, I am filled with gratitude and the upmost appreciation to you all. It was a great year, filled with new beginnings, challenges and the happiest memories.

Change has always intimated me, but the thought of starting fresh with a new year is exhilarating. It’s the time for a clean slate, a chance to start over and set new goals.

Each year, I set personal, spiritual and work goals. I know goals can seem silly, but as someone who likes to make goals on a regular basis, it only seemed fitting to make a few for the new year. One of my goals is to keep up with a weekly Bible Study. When I was teaching, my co-workers and I met once a week for a prayer group and a girl on my team and I would read the She Reads Truth Bible Studies. We were pretty consistent and the accountability was much appreciated on my end. I truly miss that. My goal is to be more intentional with my spiritual quiet time and participate in a weekly Bible Study, whether it’s with another group or just by myself.

Another goal I have is to travel more. I know, I know, wouldn’t we all love to travel more? But really. Austin and I have been saving our miles and we are anxious to use them this year. I am hoping for Europe, but we will see! As far as work goes, I feel like those goals never end. As you know, I started this blog full time in June. Since the transition, you may have heard me mention changes with the name, design and structure of this website. While the overall goal is for the content and aesthetic to remain the same, there will be some new (and exciting) changes coming in 2016!

Austin and I want to take a moment and thank you all for your support this year. While you don’t actually see Austin on this blog but maybe twice a year, he is very much a part of this brand. He handles all of the backend maintenance ( I married a computer nerd), some photography, and helps me throughout the ups and downs of this business. We appreciate every email & comment and truly look forward to creating content for you each day.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope 2016 brings joy, peace and love to you and your family!

Love you Ash! So excited to see what God is doing in your life. You are beautiful and talented and it really is a privilege to watch this blog grow. Thanks for sharing your heart in this post, esp. about growing spiritually in 2016. My Bible study leader recommended Kathleen Nielson’s studies, and I just started her study on Isaiah. Here’s to growth in 2016 😀 -Catie (Burleson)
