While many of us (me included) like to wear darker hues during winter months, there is something refreshing about keeping things white and neutral. Wearing white has a reputation for being the color of Spring & Summer, but lately, I’ve been gravitating to white and cream colors for Winter.
I’ve already worn this cream coat from Nordstrom several times with blue jeans, but I wanted to test it out with a few of my white tops & bottoms. This cream turtleneck (also worn here) has been a must this season. I don’t know why it has been so hard for me to find sleeveless turtlenecks, but this has come in handy on several occasions. It’s the perfect top to wear with your favorite coat or jacket, without added the extra bulk in the arms. Highly recommend it!
The monochromatic look can be intimidating, but I encourage you to give it a try if you haven’t. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when sporting an all white look:
- Don’t get caught up in matching whites. I personally love keeping the overall look neutral by mixing different white and cream colors.
- Play up the textures!
- Add a pop of color with your accessories or lipstick. I really liked the way this bag looked with the white colors.
- Keep it simple. Don’t over accessorize or go overboard on the layers. A simple coat, sweater & bottoms is the perfect place to start.
