The Teacher Diva

January 5, 2018

Cold Weather Layers

I’ve always been one to believe in classic neutral accessories. For me, they are an easy way to complete any look!

Winter is here and it’s the perfect time to test out your layering skills and put to work some of your favorite items that are already in your closet. Being someone who doesn’t like to complicate things, I stick with my trustworthy winter essentials: my Camel Coat (Similar options here and here), Ribbed Scarf and a Black Turtleneck. This black turtleneck is actually a bodysuit and a dream to wear under layers. It’s thin, but not sheer. And it eliminates any extra bulk — which if I’m being totally honest is my number one goal next to staying warm. Anyone else?

It’s crazy how fast the first week in January came and went. This weekend we are meeting a few of my teacher friends for a little dinner party, hopefully seeing Greatest Showman or I,Tonya (anyone see these?) and doing our FIRST ever Instagram Live! I know, we are late to the game here, but why not start now? The live will begin this Sunday 1/7 at 6:30 Central (we pushed it up because of the Golden Globes tonight!) and per your request, it will be a Q + A. We have a few questions already submitted but would love to hear more if you have any! Feel free to comment or DM us if you want those to be included. We hope to see you this Sunday!

Happy Weekend! xx Ashley

I’ve seen The Greatest Showman twice–it’s awesome! That is, if you like musicals. 🙂

I, Tonya is so good. It’s got great comedy, but also brings a lot of light to the situation. I’m a figure skater myself, and I HIGHLY recommend!

We saw it! Greatest Showman was sold out so hopefully we can see that soon too. Yes, I agree — I, Tonya was surprisingly hilarious and really explained how everything went down. I could not stop laughing at Allison Janney. It was a horrible situation but she was so funny. Great movie! x AR
