Happy Monday, friends! Last month, many of you know I had the opportunity to work with Mamonde, a Korean beauty brand from the AmorePacific family. On our trip, we got a first look at the products and helped celebrate the launch of Mamond products arriving in the US. To help celebrate, I’m also giving away 60 Sheet Masks (yeah, that’s huge!) so be sure to enter here if you are needing to amp up your skincare routine.
So let’s start from the beginning, shall we? Being someone who has been naturally curious about k-beauty, this trip really piqued my interest. K-Beauty isn’t a new trend, but lately, it’s been all the buzz in the beauty world. You may have heard about products like essence, sheet masks or gel-moisturizers, which are all derived from k-beauty. Koreans take their skincare very seriously and believe in having a set skincare routine. They even practice what’s called 7 Layer Skin. I may do a full post on that in the future, but until then, Byrdie explains it here. While that may not always work for all of us, there is some truth behind the method.
If you’ve followed my IG stories or Beauty Talk Series, you already know that product education is very important to me. And what better way to learn than actually get my hands on the product and spend time hearing about the how and why. Since our partnership last month, I’ve received numerous emails and DMs about the Mamonde products. Specifically asking how the products work and compare to other leading brands and my thoughts on the whole “K-Beauty trend”.
As always, great questions from the TTD community and I’m excited to break this down.
Mamonde Picks + How I Use Them:
Mamonde has a range of products featuring hydrating moisturizers, sheet masks, and cleansing oil. What makes Mamonde unique is that each product is infused with floral essences all derived from the Mamonde Garden which is outside of Seoul, South Korea. These products have a subtle floral scent and are very gentle, yet effective, on the skin. For someone who is just testing the waters with K-beauty, I would recommend the Floral Energy Discovery Kit.
A few noteworthy products that I have been using include:
Floral Hydro Cream This gel-cream moisturizer is ideal for us gals who tend to have oily skin. I love that it’s not too heavy.
Pore Purifying Bubble Mask This is one of the most unique products I have ever tried! When you apply this on your skin, micro-bubbles immediately start to form. This bubble mask will give your skin a glow and feel incredibly soft after just 1-2 minutes. It’s a great option for those who are in a hurry or need a mini facial at home.
Sheet Masks You guys know my love for sheet masks runs deep. When using these, here are a few tips I follow: leave on longer than suggested. I usually leave mine on for 30 minutes. Also, take any extra serum from the packet and put on your hands, chest, and neck. You don’t want to waste the good stuff! Enter to win 60 sheet masks of your own, here!
*Open to US residents only. One winner will be selected at random Thursday, March 15th.
What k-beauty products have you tried? Tell us your picks in the comments below. xx Ashley
