I am so excited to share with you guys some photos from my experience at the Nordstrom Beauty Trend Event last Saturday. This was my fourth Beauty Trend Event, and I have say, it gets more and more exciting each year. And if you weren’t able to join us at Northpark Center in Dallas last weekend, not to worry! There are still other locations coming up this year: Beauty Trend Event Stores + Dates.
Like last year, I got to take 10 readers with me to experience the event. I always enjoy meeting readers, and it was really fun getting to spend the morning with these ladies. I left the event wishing we could all hang out again!
During the event, Nordstrom hooked us up with a front-row seat at the Trend Show, free beauty services, a VIP gift bag full of product and a Nordstrom Gift Card to help stock our beauty bag.
I’m sharing my beauty haul below, but one of my favorite beauty trends that I particularly liked this year was Ready. Set. GLOW. Think highlight & contour palettes, dewy skin, and a healthy glow. Whether it’s using a skincare product that targets hydration or finding a highlighter that gives you the perfect glow, Nordstrom has it all.
I’m sharing my must-have products for a subtle glow in my beauty haul below!
MY NORDSTROM BEAUTY HAUL
During the event, I picked up a few things to add to my beauty bag. One product I have been curious to try is a dry sheet mask. As you know, sheet masks are all the buzz in the beauty world, but right now brands like Charlotte Tilbury and Trish McEvoy have introduced a dry sheet mask to the scene. This particular mask is good for up to three uses and has the same benefits of a traditional sheet mask, but without the mess. This mask is ideal for those looking for a healthy glow and a boost of hydration.
What’s not to love about Charlotte Tilbury? I honestly have yet to find one product that I don’t like. During the event, many of the makeup artists and skincare experts kept mentioning the Hollywood Flawless Filter. This product is a multipurpose primer-highlighter that can be used before foundation (after moisturizer), mixed-in with foundation (my favorite way to use) or on top of foundation. You know I was curious to try it out!
I was able to get my hands on shade 2- Light and quickly discovered why this was so popular. It’s very subtle but gives your skin a soft “filtered” glow. I prefer to mix this in with my foundation, but like I mentioned above, the options are endless. You all know my skin is sensitive and also combo to oily (lucky me) and this has not caused my skin any issues. I’ve worn it every day since the event.
If you’re into powder highlighters, I have the MAC Hyper Real Glow Palette in the color Flash Awe and have actually used it as an eyeshadow too. This is so beautiful and gives the skin a nice subtle glow.
Fun fact. I have used the Dior Addict Lip Glow for the past 6 years. I LOVE this product. I actually received my first tube from a student whose mom knew how much I loved lipstick. She told me it was her all-time favorite lip balm and wanted me to have one to keep in my desk. Well, fast forward to now and I’m obsessed and still continue to purchase year after year.
I wear Pink Glow and Coral alone as a traditional lip balm or over a matte lipstick. This doesn’t leave lips feeling sticky or too shiny. And the color is very subtle so it doesn’t compete with what you have on. Is this is a splurge for a lip balm? Sure. But trust me — it’s so worth it.
I have used ABH products before like Brow Wiz, but this was my first experience trying out their eyeshadow. You guys, this is good stuff. I am very particular about my eyeshadows — especially when it comes to palettes. Being someone who wears mostly neutrals on my eyes, I want a palette that I can use for day and night, with a velvet finish, high pigment and of course, no creasing. Too much to ask for? Well, I was very happy to find that this palette checks all of those boxes.
And I’m rarely a fan of the brushes included in palettes but this one is actually very good! It’s the first I reach for when doing my eyeshadow. My everyday colors include Tempura all over, Fairy on the lid, and Bronze in the outer corner. This is going to be my go-to this summer!
