I Put Austin on a Skincare Routine. Here’s What Happened.

When I met Austin 10 years ago, I was in college and working part-time at a beauty salon. I worked there off and on while I was in school and then summers when I was teaching. It was a dream job for someone who loved learning about products and getting to help clients with beauty and haircare.

As soon as Austin and I started dating, I couldn’t wait to bring him samples and products to try. Let’s just say I was very persistent in giving him skincare advice and encouraging him to establish a routine of his own. He likes to keep his morning short and sweet so he can sleep in till the last possible minute. So the thought of some long routine didn’t really excite him.

I bought him a Kiehl’s gift set for Christmas last year (it was very similar to the Groom-on-the-Go Kit and had all the essentials like the Ultra Facial Cream and Facial Fuel face wash) and I guess you could say all these years of “encouragement” worked because he actually used it and asked me to get him more. He’s told me multiple times that this has helped with his dry skin. So if your man is in the same boat, try these. It’s a simple routine, but it gets the job done.

AUSTIN’S THREE-STEP SKINCARE ROUTINE

AM: 1. Facial Fuel Face Wash: An energizing face wash that leaves your skin “tingly” but doesn’t burn. If you have a beard, he said this works great for washing your beard too. This scrub is also nice because it doubles as a masque. He likes to use this in the shower in place of the face wash. 2. Facial Fuel Moisturizer: Light-weight and doesn’t make your face too shiny (his words, not mine). He prefers the non-SPF version (like this one here) and then adds his own SPF as the third step.

PM: 1. Facial Fuel Face Wash 2. Midnight Recover Concentrate Face Oil: This has over 1600+ reviews and is the #1 selling facial oil. He puts this on at night and it helps keep his face feeling hydrated. He gets really dry skin in the winter, so this helps! 3. Ultra Facial Cream: Lightweight, yet packs in a lot of moisture. It’s great for all akin types (I’ve tried it too and it didn’t clog my pores) and immediately leaves skin 2–3 times more hydrated, even in skin’s driest areas. He prefers to wear this one at night though!

Hello! Thank you for sharing your opinion about this product, I just love Kiehl’s, I think they are one of the leaders in the face care cosmetics market. I have always used their face cream, but after your review, I wanted to buy myself a 3-step skincare product. You have such a clean and beautiful face skin, I dream about it! and it’s also very cool that you do it together, I dream and I will make my soul mate do this))
