What’s In My Nightstand

nightstand organization

Is anyone else fascinated by what’s in someone’s personal space? Whether it’s a good ‘what’s in my bag’ or ‘what’s in my grocery cart’, I’m always interested in that stuff – have been since I was a little girl. So after cleaning out my nightstand last week (which…was a disaster), I decided to share exactly what I keep in there. Let me know if you’re into this more BTS content of everyday life, and I can share more of it. If it’s totally boring, please let me know as well.

By the way, looks like my nightstands are currently on sale if you like the look.

What’s in YOUR nightstand? Do any of our items overlap?

xx Ashley

I have a two-drawer nightstand that I essentially separate into two areas using these dividers: beauty and more lifestyle stuff. Austin jokes that the first drawer is my high-maintenance Ashley and the second is realistic Ashley.  Anyways, here’s what’s in each:

WHAT’S IN MY NIGHTSTAND // BEAUTY

LIP BALM: I switch up the brand but you’ll always find a balm in my drawer. I can’t sleep without it! Right now I’m into Summer Friday’s Lip Butter.

CUTICLE OIL: I only use this 1x a week or so, maybe more in the dry months. I do feel like it helps maintain nice nails and a manicure, though.

BODY CREAM: If I remember, I like to apply some sort of cream to my hands before bed, especially with all the extra hand-washing lately. I’ll bring it up to my forearms to my elbows too if I’m noticeably dry. This stuff is pricier, but it’s really good, and this Chanel cream is what I save for 1x a week or so (super luxe).

SLEEP MASK: OK y’all so this is where the high-maintenance jokes come in. When I pull this on, Austin knows I’m serious. It works though! If you don’t have blackout shades or prefer light pressure over your eyes to sleep better, this $10 Amazon mask does it for me.

SILK SCRUNCHIE: Somehow I always end up with about 10 of these in my drawer at a time. Anyone else? These are again, a little high-maintenance compared to a regular hairband, but I notice less breakage when I’m using them! This hair clip is also a good find to keep in my drawer.

WHAT’S IN MY NIGHTSTAND // LIFESTYLE, ETC.

BLUE-LIGHT GLASSES: I *try* not to use my phone too much in bed, but we all know how that goes. If I’m watching TV or on my phone at night, I’m wearing these.

LINEN MIST: OK OK so another high-maintenance item, but this was in my stocking so I have to share. I’m big on scent and like how this sets a relaxing vibe. Austin loves it too…he just might not admit it. I also like gifting this to new mama’s since it’s one of those luxuries that can help to calm things down before sleep. It’s made with essential oils and doesn’t stain your sheets.

EQUILIBRIA CBD: Among the medicine I keep in the drawer, you’ll always find my CBD. Read more about my experience here and use code ASHLEYROBERTSON for 15% off your first order.

JOURNALS: I have a couple of 5-Minute Journals; one by my bed and one in my office. I like to start the day with it, so it just depends if I’m up before the house (usually am) or if I want to do it once I get to the office. Then I also keep just a plain journal if something is on my mind before bed. I also keep my Bible and any books I’m reading tucked in here too.

TISSUES, MEDICINE & HEADPHONES: All the other usual suspects.

I am always fascinated by people’s purchased products too. I really like the Chanel lip balm that comes in a pot. However it always seems to be sold out. I will need to try the hand lotion. 😄
