Travel Beauty Must Haves

Travel Beauty Must Haves

Last weekend I had the joy of getting to room with my sweet friend Katey McFarlan at our work conference. Many of you know her for her gorgeous home and adorable puppy, Peaches, but I am excited to share a fun project we worked on featuring our favorite travel must haves. ...

The Packing List | Mexico

The Packing List | Mexico

By now I'm sure we all can agree this cold weather has got to go. Being in Dallas we haven't experienced it quite like other areas, but I sure do miss patio weather. I can't help but dream of a sitting on a beach in Mexico! In effort to make winter more bearable, Austin and I decided to plan a little "Winter Escape" in February. I'm heading to Cabo to work on a project for The Teacher Diva, but we decided to extend the trip a couple days and make a little getaway out of it. Just as I’ve been counting down the days until this little trip, I’ve also been planning out my packing list. The thing I love about traveling to the beach is that you really don’t need much. I try to keep my packing limited to these essentials: SWIMWEAR What is a trip to the beach without fabulous (and affordable) swimwear? I am in love with these suits from Modcloth. I can't get over this Pastel One-Piece Swimsuit. The colors are so beautiful and I love the way it fits (I am always a fan of a cute one-piece)! I also found this high-wasted Two-Piece that will look great with my fringed and lace coverup. Speaking of coverups, I have been looking for a white ...

In My Bag | Goyard GM Tote

In My Bag | Goyard GM Tote

Over the past few weeks Austin and I have been traveling much more than normal. From family vacations to destination weddings, it has been a very busy past couple of weeks! When I travel, I always like to take one of my biggest totes as a carryon. My Goyard GM Tote from Keeks Designer Handbags, has been a favorite of mine for travel and everyday. It's the perfect size to carry all of my essentials, especially while traveling! Louis Vuitton Key Chain | Gigi New York 2015 Planner (2016 version here) | Goyard Pouch (comes with the bag) | Sonix iPhone Case | MAC 'Hip & Happy' Lipliner | Bobbi Brown 'Almost Nude' Lipgloss | NARS 'Claudia' Lipstick | Jo Malone 'Lime Basil and Mandarin' Perfume | FRENDS

The Packing List | Seattle

The Packing List | Seattle

Hi Guys! I'm pretty excited to be heading off to Seattle with Austin tonight! He has a work conference there next week, and since I have an extra personal day to spend, I figured why not. I love little trips like this and can't wait to spend the next few days with him! Seattle is truly one of my favorite cities. My husband has never been before, so I am excited to take a long weekend and explore the town together. Pikes Market is of course at the top of my list and maybe a little trip to Bainbridge Island. I would love to hear some of your suggestions! Food, shopping, places to see? I'm all ears! As for packing, I like to keep it simple when it comes to my carry on. Give me a few magazines and a notepad to make a list and I am good to go. The OMG Bag from Lo & Sons is one of my favorite carry on's (a co-worker of mine uses this as her teacher bag and I am thinking about making the switch as well) since it fits everything so well. Like most people, I like to bring my laptop when traveling. This bag makes it worry free with the secure laptop pocket. I also like that it has plenty of storage for shoes, pens & notepads, and any other loose items I might throw in along the way. Eek! Send me suggestions...I would love to hear them! xx

The Packing List | NYFW

The Packing List | NYFW

In just a few short hours, I will be on my way to experience my very first Fashion Week in New York City. I am so excited to be traveling with dear friends, Bishop & Holland, and I can't wait to share some exciting collaborations & projects with you! Oh and I know you are all thinking, a teacher at fashion week?!  So yes, a teacher at fashion week. Crazy! Packing for an event like Fashion Week can be an exciting, yet daunting task. However, I was so excited when Portero wanted to team up to share my packing list for NYFW. Portero is one of the leading companies in selling authentic, vintage bags and the only place I go to for gently used accessories. This Louis Vuitton Duffle from Portero was the perfect size for a quick trip.  Not only does it do the job, but it looks great too! In my bag, you will find some fun heels, like these new lace up booties from Steve Madden. Or of course, the classic Valentino Rock Stud Pump. I also threw in some flats because, let's be honest, there's no way ...

Sale Alert| Beach Favorites

Being at the beach has been wonderful. But I can't help but notice all the adorable swim wear and accessories. So much that I decided to dedicate a whole post to beach favorites...all on sale! Now that Summer is halfway over, there's really no sense on paying full price for anything. Unless, of course you have some amazing vacation coming up and it's something you just have to have. You know how that works, ha! I've rounded up some pretty great pieces that will work throughout this season and into next Summer as well. Happy shopping! The Packing List | Summer Musts

The Packing List | Summer Musts

With Summer here, the opportunity for little weekend getaways is definitely greater. My husband and I don't have any kids  so there's little holding us back from little spontaneous road trips. Whether it's driving to a nearby city or staying at the in-laws for the weekend, I always like to be prepared.  I try to keep things pretty organized when packing so it was a no brainer to use my One Truffle Clairity Pouch to hold all my essentials. This little bag is my favorite because it's completely functional (and chic). Inside my bag, I carry a few of my "Summer Musts". These include items that I use on a daily basis or here and there. Whether you tend to overpack or keep things simple, here are some products you are going to want to try this season. Chantacaille Rice and Geranium Cleanser: I know I've written about this stuff before, but I still can't get over this cleanser. It's the absolute best of the best! You only have to use a dot (like smaller than a pea size) and it really foams up and gets off every trace of make up. I love to use it with my Clarasonic Face Brush to get a deep clean. Try it, you won't regret it! Loreal Silky Sheer Tinted BB Cream with SPF 50+: This is a great sunscreen to have on hand when you are going to be out in the sun. It's super sheer ...

Today starts my official "spring break" (and it's my birthday)! To celebrate, my husband surprised me with a trip to Boston and NYC...I couldn't be more excited! Our flight super early tomorrow morning, so I am spending the day cleaning, packing, and of course doing some last minute shopping. These are a few of the items that I will be packing with me on my trip and some that I hope to get while in the city! | THE PACKING LIST | ...

Dallas to Houston

I love a little weekend getaway....even if it is just a few hours away. This weekend my husband and I are driving to Houston for a friends wedding. We are excited because it will be a new change of scenery and we both have never been before. I am looking forward to brunching at Tiny Box Woods (thanks Chelsea for the recommendation!) and doing a little shopping, of course. Whether or not you have big plans this weekend, I hope you relax and enjoy! XX | SHOP IN THE BAG |  ...
