Celebrating 4 Years

Celebrating 4 Years

Today is a special day for Austin and I as we are celebrating 4 years of marriage!  I thought it would be fun to share some photos from our wedding with you all. What a true joy it has been to marry the love of my life and best friend. We've had many new (scary and exciting) changes over these past 4 years, but I am thankful to have him by my side. My prayer is we continue to put God first and always stay faithful through the good and bad. Happy Anniversary, Aus! Thanks for reading! xx Ashley ...

Easy Layers

Easy Layers

Happy Wednesday! If you've followed my blog for awhile, you know I love to layer. Whether it's with a cardigan or jacket, adding that third piece is always something I like to do. Today's look is all about layering for Spring. I love easy layers, and this Lightweight Cardigan (on sale!) is perfect as we transition into warmer weather. ...

Spring Dress Under $100

Spring Dress Under $100

There's nothing more appropriate for Spring than a floral swing dress (only a few sizes left). I picked up this dress a few weeks ago when my mom took me birthday shopping, and I knew it would be ideal for the new season. My main reason was to wear it to Lindsay's (my sis-in-law) bridal shower last weekend, but I also love the idea of wearing it in a more casual setting. Perhaps paring with with my scalloped flats or these Valentino-esq pointy toe flats. For Summer, why not pair this dress with  lace up sandals? I love it! ...

Denim Shift Dress For Spring

Denim Shift Dress For Spring

Now that Spring is officially here, I wanted to share this easy dress that can transition well for both Spring and Summer. I just love this Denim Shift Dress (under $80) and have a feeling I will be wearing this many more times during the next few months. This dress is super simple, but I think it looks nice with fun accessories, like these Platform Wedge Sandals (more sizes here) or a bold statement necklace ( I love this or this Seaglass Bib in Blue from BaubleBar). For a layered look, I've paired it this with a moto jacket . I have a feeling that jacket will come in handy many times during the Spring...it get's so chilly at night! Thanks so much for stopping by! xx Ashley PS: Today is the last day to register for the Go!Forth Workshop in Dallas this Wednesday. If you are a new (or aspiring) blogger or small business owner, this is for you! It will be a night of learning and I will be ...

Spring Makeup Must Haves

Spring Makeup Must Haves

When it comes to my Spring and Summer beauty routine, I like to keep things as simple as possible. I look for double-duty products that will last during hot Summer days all while keeping that subtle glow. I took these products with me while we were in Mexico and I am excited to share with you some of my current  makeup favorites. A few of these are new and some are oldies, either way, you need to know about them! PS: The Weekend Edit will be coming next week. I've been pretty busy with the wedding shower tomorrow, so my content has been slightly pushed back. Thanks for understanding! xx Ashley  LONG WEAR FOUNDATION WITH SPF I always make sure to use SPF year round, but I pay special attention to my sunscreen during the Spring & Summer. I love that It Cosmetics adds SPF to their popular CC Cream. My favorite is the CC Illuminating Cream 50+ SPF (I wear the color Medium). Ya'll, this stuff is amazing. I tried the original formula, and it just wasn't for me. It was pretty thick and while it offered amazing coverage, I find the Illuminating CC Cream to be better suited for my skin. It's not sheer by any ...

Navy Bohemian Dress

Navy Bohemian Dress

This Bohemian Drop Waist Dress (under $30) was the perfect piece to take along during our trip to Mexico. It was honestly one of the easiest items to pack and I did not have to worry about wrinkles (major bonus). I love this dress because it's perfect for transitioning into summer. The fabric is light, but not sheer, and the long billowed sleeves make it practical for chilly nights. If you saw my snapchat from yesterday, this was the dress I was wearing! Thanks so much for reading! xx Ashley OUTFIT DETAILS: Shein Navy Drop Waist Dress (fit: I am wearing a Medium, however I wish I tried the small. I usually size up when I order from Shein, but this seemed to run pretty true in size // quality: overall, I was pretty impressed. It's not sheer and doesn't seem to wrinkle.) | Soludos Leather Espadrilles (fit: true to size) I also love the wedge espadrille version| Lipstick: YSL Glossy Stain #17 Encre Rose ...

White Lace For Spring

White Lace For Spring

Now that the warmer temps have found their way to Dallas, I am starting to take advantage of every opportunity to wear a dress or skirt. The 75 degree weather on Sunday was the perfect excuse to wear this Bell Sleeve Lace Dress to dinner with friends. The cut-out-lace trend has made a huge influence in the fashion world and I am happy to share that it's in full force this Spring. We've seen this trend on tops, skirts, pants and (my favorite) dresses. I am loving this Bell Sleeve Lace Dress from JCPenney. It's feminine, fun, and can easily be dressed up or down for the occasion. I opted to wear it with a simple pair of

A Trip to Flora Farms

A Trip to Flora Farms

A few weeks ago, Austin and I traveled to Cabo San Lucas to work on a few projects for The Teacher Diva. Many of you followed along via snapchat and instagram, but if you are a new follower (welcome!) you can see more from our trip here or read my Cabo Travel Guide from last Summer. One place we wanted to visit while in Cabo was Flora Farms.  I was so excited to get to go during our trip! Flora Farms is a ten-acre organic farm in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. While touring the property you will see their organic farm, grocery market, restaurant and various stores.  Flora Farms was a 35 minute cab ride from our hotel, so we made sure to leave in plenty of time to view the property before sunset. When we arrived, we grabbed a drink from The Farm Bar and toured the farm while we waited for our table at Flora Fields Kitchen. The food was absolutely incredible. We sampled a variety of items, and everything was delicious. Their menus ...

Army Green & Polkadots

Army Green & Polkadots

Happy (almost) weekend! Although, the weather has been pretty rainy in Dallas, I am looking forward to a fun filled birthday!  My mom always likes to take me to breakfast on my birthday, so we are heading to Breadwinners later this morning. Austin is taking the afternoon off, so I think we will grab a late lunch and maybe go to the nail salon (he gets so embarrassed, but he loves the pedicures too!) I wanted to share another casual look with you guys. I know I've worn this Tiered Polka Dot Tunic on here before , but it's seriously one of my favorite tops. I love this Army Green Jacket (sold out, but I linked a few similar styles below) and wear it all of the time! I really like the pop go green with the black and white pattern.  I've mentioned on here before that a Army Green Jacket is one of those items that every girl needs in her closet. They can be so versatile! PS: many of you asked about my earrings that I was wearing on snapchat [the teacher diva] last night (thanks, for your help by the way!) and I wanted to link them for those of you who wanted details Thanks for stopping by and thank you for the birthday wishes! 29 is off to a ...
