Beauty Talk | Bronze Goddess

Beauty Talk | Bronze Goddess

I don't know about you guys, but Summer is on it's way and I am in desperate need for a little color. Usually, I don't like to spend much time in the sun and if I do I am lathered up with SPF 50+. Great for the skin, but doesn't help me out in the tan department. Around this time, I start to bring out the self tanners and the bronzer. I do wear a little bronzer all year to add some face definition, but now is the time when I guess you could say I add a little more? I feel like I have tried so many brands/colors and I finally found a few that seem to work well for me. My goal when looking for a bronzer is 1. No glitter or heavy shimmer (if any at all) 2. No hint of orange (my skin tends to be oily so it can turn certain bronzers orange by the end of the day...yuck!) and 3. Nothing crazy dark (I want this to look as natural as possible...duh!)  Below are a few that make me pretty happy! 1. Bare Minerals Faux Tan Loose Powder- Ok, I was a little nervous to try this because the powder looks pretty dark. While I do like to wear bronzer,  I have to be careful because my skin is pretty light. This worked for me because it is a matte finish. It's not shimmery at all and isn't as dark as it looks. You definitely want to follow the whole "swirl, tap, brush" philosophy that BM encourages to prevent it from looking too harsh. This stuff is awesome. Highly recommend! 2.

Weekend Casual

Weekend Casual

If you ask me, the best look for a weekend outside is something casual and comfortable. With the weather being so nice, we were excited to spend most of our time outdoors. I wanted to throw something on that was easy to wear and still look "put together". It was an easy choice to wear my favorite white button down and denim rolled up shorts. It's one of my favorite combos and something that is a classic look for summer. Wearing: Classic White Button Down (Equipment Brett Blouse version) | Paige

Monogrammed Crossbody

Monogrammed Crossbody

Recently, I was introduced to this amazing company, Grateful Bags. I have always had a weakness for purses so it wasn't a surprise that I quickly became obsessed with their entire collection.  Jenny Ross, the creator and designer, started her company as a way to let women express their style through personalized monogrammed bags. Not to mention, she firmly believes in giving back to the community. So cool! I was able to completely design my bag from style, color and font! I chose The Hayley Cross Body in beige with an Antique Gold monogram. Grateful Bags doesn't want you to miss out, so they are offering TTD readers 40% off when you use the code summer  at checkout + free shipping! Don't forget to stop by Grateful Bags to check out all the new styles and colors. Happy Shopping! XX Wearing: Loft Floral Peplum (on sale! true to size) | J ...

Beauty Talk | Top 9

<< click the pictures above to shop >> Happy Tuesday!  I have been receiving quite a few comments and emails regarding products that I have tried and loved. As I've mentioned before, I love this little series. My goal is to give you real feedback for products that I legitimately use on a daily or weekly basis. Today, I am sharing my top nine favorite products. These are the things that either get me through the day, or products I just love to use! Please feel free to email me or leave me a comment with any questions or requests. And as always, I love to hear what you guys use, so let me know your favorites as well! XX Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray- This is magic in a can. The Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray is amazing because it's formulated for all hair types and is meant to be used a few different ways. I use this product as a dry shampoo, however it is used by many as a way to add volume and texture to fine or thin hair.Typically styling aids add a little shine, but this doesn't (which is why I love it). It doesn't make my hair dull, but it definitely minimizes the oil around my roots. The smell is also incredible. I never thought I'd spend $42 bucks on a dry shampoo/texturizer....but when my hairdresser kept using this on me I feel in love with it more and more! Nars Lipgloss in Priscilla- Nars in general is one of my favorite makeup brands. Their products are super pigmented and they ...

Lavender Lace

Lavender Lace

This past weekend Dallas experienced some beautiful weather! It actually felt like Spring with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80's.  I've been anxiously awaiting warmer weather, so I was pretty excited to be able to finally pull out my first pair of shorts for the season. I paired this playful lace top from Catch Bliss Boutique with my favorite white blazer and rolled up denim shorts. Catch Bliss has the most adorable tops for Spring and I couldn't pass this one up!   Catch Bliss Blakley Lace Top in Lavender (true to size) c/o | Paige Jimmy Jimmy Shorts (J Crew Denim Shorts) | Valentino Rockstud Nude ...

Little Pink Dress

Little Pink Dress

Now that the temps are warming up, dresses are making an appearance on a regular basis around here. The weather in Dallas is actually pretty nice right now so I was excited to add a dress into my attire this week. When the weather in Dallas is "nice" you have to take full advantage. Since the time frame is so limited, we have been outside or dining on the patio every chance we get. The Secret Garden Dress from White Plum was the perfect choice for a little Sunday night dinner on the patio.  I loved wearing it for a casual occasion, but could easily see it being worn to a wedding or a dressier event. Everyone needs a versatile dress that can be worn for many occasions and not to mention the Secret Garden Dress is super comfortable! White Plum wants to offer TTD readers a discount so you can add this dress to your spring and summer wardrobe as well! Enter the code DIVA20 at checkout for 20% off your purchase. Enjoy! Stripes By The Pool

Stripes By The Pool

One of the (many) perks of attending the Reward Style Conference last weekend was the amazing venue. We stayed in The Joule Hotel in Downtown Dallas and it was absolutely gorgeous. There wasn't too much down time during the conference, but when we had a couple hours to spare, we went straight to the pool. This Anthropolgie Striped Tunic was the perfect top to relax by the pool. You may have notice I love this top (and wear it a lot)...it's the perfect tunic!  I already bought the cream version too. You can never have too many stripes in my book!   Anthropologie Darcy Striped Tunic | Old Navy Rockstar Skinnies (size up!) | Kelly Wynne I Duffle Dare You Bag | Forever 21 Aviators | Michael Kors Runway Watch | Espadrille Wedges ( Similar Michael Kores Wedges, Similar Clarks Wedges (sale!) ) | Kendra Scott Paige Ring | Lola James Sure Shot Necklace c/o | Spike ...

Black & White For Spring

Black & White For Spring

Today I am sharing my first look from The rewardStyle Conference this past weekend. Since the conference was in Dallas, it was only fitting that we went to the Giant Eyeball Sculpture. Nestled right in the center of Downtown Dallas, this photo op was the perfect place to shoot some pictures. For day 1, I wore this black and white Parker dress and paired it with my new Sole Society Mandee Lace Up Heels. I love the "fit and flare" look of this dress and adding a blazer gave it the right about of sophistication. I have started doing that a lot lately to give my dresses a new look. What are some ways that you change up the look of a dress?  Parker Black and White Mesh Dress (similar version, similar version ) | Forever 21 Blazer (Joie Blazer) | Sole Society Mandee Lace Up Heels c/o | Celine Luggage Tote | Karen Walker Super Duper Strength Sunglasses | Kendra Scott Sophee Drop Earrings | YSL 'Rouge Pur Couture color #17
