What makes something beautiful? I find beauty in many things. Sometimes it's as simple as flowers blooming in the front of our building... or my sweet husband offering to wash the dishes (that's a beautiful thing right there). But really, I have to say the most beautiful thing to me is my first graders. As a teacher, my primary focus is to love my students and help them grow to be successful in their educational career. They are all unique and creative in their own way and that makes them all beautiful.

Tied With a Bow
One of my favorite colors to wear this season is blush. It's still feminine without being too pink. I snatched this blouse up at Forever 21 last Fall but have found some very similar options linked below. The wrap around style is so flattering and can be dressed up or down. It's one of those blouses that you can wear with so many things. I can't wait to pair it with these Citizens of Humanity White Jeans with these Tory Burch Heels. I have a weakness for neutrals and I know this will be something that I wear continuously this Spring.
On a personal note, I am gearing up for the rewardStyle Conference this weekend. I am super excited, nervous and anxious all at the same time! Regardless of my worries, I am looking forward to some girl time with some of my favorite blogger babes, learning a lot and meeting new brands! With that being said, things may be a little quiet around here as I prepare for the conference and make my sub plans for my class. Hope everyone has a great week!

Bucket Bag
Every season we can expect a new trend on the latest handbags and fashion. This Spring the bucket bag is back with full force. Otherwise known as the "drawstring" bag, this specific handbag is currently a modern throwback to the 70's - 90's eras when its roomy build became the focus of utility convenience. Not to mention- it looks so chic!
Mansur Graval seems to have taken the lead on this trend this season but if the high price tag isn't your thing, don't worry! Old Navy and Kate Spade have some other options that are much easier on your wallet. Above are 10 of my favorites at all price points. Enjoy! XX ...
Beauty Talk | Kat Burki
Today, I am excited to share with you a skin care brand that is new to me, Kat Burki. When I first heard about this brand, I immediately fell in love with the packaging and the fact that the whole line is natural based. It's easy for products to say "all natural" but Kat Burki is truly 100% natural. She uses the highest quality vitamins and essentials oils in each product. Every ingredient is chosen for their ability to improve skin texture and firmness, all while keeping your skin nourished. The best part? None of her products have parabens, synthetic dyes, sulfates, petrolatum or mineral oils.
First things first, the Hand Therapy Cream. Woah! Working with 6 year olds has me using way too much hand sanitizer and while my hands are clean, they are also super dry. I have used it every day for the last week and I have noticed a huge difference. The Hand Therapy Cream is high in Vitamin A and Sunflower Seed Oil so it helps my hands stay hydrated throughout the day. My hands feel like silk!
Remember a couple months ago when I asked for advice on good lip treatments? Well, now I have met my match! The Glossy Lip Treatment is Kat's number one selling product and I can see why. It's the perfect solution to keep my lips looking shiny but also nourished. The treatment is made with coconut ...
Navy Jacquard
A few weeks ago when I posted on my favorite spring jackets, I discovered so many cute styles for Spring. This navy one from Anthropologie was the first to catch my eye. I knew the pattern was something that would be a good versatile piece for Spring and it's light weight material wouldn't be too hot for Dallas. It's the perfect solution for warmer days and cooler nights. Not to mention it was a sale purchase (even cheaper now!) and I am pretty happy about it.

Dress Season
Spring is here and that means dresses are here to stay. I don't know about you, but I am definitely ready to get back into the ease of wearing a dress. This maxi dress by Catch Bliss Boutique is the perfect solution for a Spring dress. It is so easy – doesn’t require any type of ironing, feels literally like wearing a nightgown, and can be easily be dressed up. I can already tell that it is going to be a new staple in my closet and think I may have to get it in the red version as well. I can easily see me wearing this dress with a denim jacket or a leather moto jacket. In the summertime this will be the ideal type of piece to just throw on with a pair of sandals and go.

Beauty Talk | Laying the Foundation
The perfect start to any makeup routine is a good base. I always use moisturizer or oil to give my face some hydration, but I also found out that it actually helps keeps my makeup on longer. Who knew? This CAUDALIE Beauty Elixir is one of my favorite ways to moisturize and give my makeup some extra lasting power. After I wash my skin, I spritz two pumps on my face. You can use before or after makeup, but I prefer before since it's packed with the finest ingredients to help smooth skin and tighten pores. I absolutely love this stuff but if you need a little more hydration or SPF be sure to apply after you use the elixir.
Let's talk coverage. To be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with foundation. It either looks to "cakey" or doesn't cover at all. Finally, I have found a happy medium. This Natural Performance Foundation by Lorac gives just the right amount of coverage and seems to stay on pretty good through out the day. (I always test my makeup after a day on the playground or carpool duty, if it can make it through that then it can make it through anything!)

Color Me Floral
For me, flowers are symbolic of Spring. Not only can they make your house look nice and cheery, but it can also add some color to your wardrobe.
While I normally opt for less “girly” patterns, there’s something about florals that have been appealing to me lately. When incorporating florals, start small—a floral accessory, scarf, bag, or shoe is a safe way to begin. Another option is to start with a floral blouse or tee under a favorite blazer, or try a statement dress with a solid cardigan or jacket. These prints should be playful additions to your look. Whether you decide to go bold or just add a bloom here and there, this print is something you need in your wardrobe this season. You can find the print in all sorts of variations – from pastel to bright, and small to extra large. Below are some of my floral favorites!

Blazer Girl
Something that every girl should own is a great blazer. Growing up, I can remember my mom rocking the blazer (complete with shoulder pads of course) and I thought it was the sign of power. Maybe because I thought my mom was awesome, or maybe because those shoulder pads were just so big. Either way, I'm glad to see they are making a come back (minus the shoulder pads).
To me, a blazer is the best way to give your wardrobe options. I love to layer basic tees, tank tops, and blouses with a good fitting blazer. If you are new to this, I suggest going with classic options like this black version from J Crew or this white one from Madewell. Blazer's shouldn't be a scary thing to try, instead have fun with it and try mixing it with clothes you already have in your closet. To see more options, visit my picks below!
