Pink Lace Dress

Happy Monday! I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend. Many of you have emailed me asking about "Wedding Guest" attire or Bride-To-Be dresses for showers and events. Spring Makeup Must Haves

Spring Makeup Must Haves

When it comes to my Spring and Summer beauty routine, I like to keep things as simple as possible. I look for double-duty products that will last during hot Summer days all while keeping that subtle glow. I took these products with me while we were in Mexico and I am excited to share with you some of my current  makeup favorites. A few of these are new and some are oldies, either way, you need to know about them! PS: The Weekend Edit will be coming next week. I've been pretty busy with the wedding shower tomorrow, so my content has been slightly pushed back. Thanks for understanding! xx Ashley  LONG WEAR FOUNDATION WITH SPF I always make sure to use SPF year round, but I pay special attention to my sunscreen during the Spring & Summer. I love that It Cosmetics adds SPF to their popular CC Cream. My favorite is the CC Illuminating Cream 50+ SPF (I wear the color Medium). Ya'll, this stuff is amazing. I tried the original formula, and it just wasn't for me. It was pretty thick and while it offered amazing coverage, I find the Illuminating CC Cream to be better suited for my skin. It's not sheer by any ...

White Lace For Spring

White Lace For Spring

Now that the warmer temps have found their way to Dallas, I am starting to take advantage of every opportunity to wear a dress or skirt. The 75 degree weather on Sunday was the perfect excuse to wear this Bell Sleeve Lace Dress to dinner with friends. The cut-out-lace trend has made a huge influence in the fashion world and I am happy to share that it's in full force this Spring. We've seen this trend on tops, skirts, pants and (my favorite) dresses. I am loving this Bell Sleeve Lace Dress from JCPenney. It's feminine, fun, and can easily be dressed up or down for the occasion. I opted to wear it with a simple pair of

Easy Makeup Routine

Easy Makeup Routine

While I love to wear makeup just as much as the next girl, I like to keep a rather simple everyday routine. I've had a few requests for a little review and tutorial so I thought I'd share some of my recent purchases with you all! Some of you may have seen me use these products on my snapchat yesterday (theteacherdiva) and if you look fast, you may still catch my video from yesterday's tutorial using these products. I wanted to share some of old and new favorites starting with this Eyebright Lotion and Moisturiser by Liz Earle. I got these products in the Botanicals Skin Saviours Set from Birchbox and have loved using the skincare line. The Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion is perfect for refreshing tired and puffy eyes. I apply it every morning with a cotton ball, then follow with the Skin Repair Moisturiser. They smell nice too! Next up, is this Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation. My sweet in-laws gave this to me for Christmas and I don't think they've ever seen someone so excited about makeup before. As someone who loves trying new products, this has been on the top of my list. So ...

Home Updates with Lulu & Georgia

Home Updates with Lulu & Georgia

Today, I am excited to share a little update on our home makeover before the big reveal in January. Recently, I purchased this vanity for our bedroom, and was in desperate need for a few accessories to help style out the new piece. Lulu and Georgia has been my go-to ever since we moved almost two years ago. I frequently browse their website for new decor items, desk accessories, or furniture pieces. I've mentioned before, that home decorating intimidates me, but after working with Jessie (our friend and designer) she helped make this process so much more enjoyable and actually fun! Here are a few easy steps to help you style your vanity, dresser or desk. 1.  Get Personal Starting with a clean slate can be very daunting, but for some, it's an exciting challenge! I always like to incorporate a few personal touches into each space around our home. Whether it's a photo from a recent trip or my favorite perfume, it's all about what makes you feel at home and inspired. Call me old fashioned, but I love calendars and prefer to have something tangible to look at while I'm getting ready or working. This flip calendar was the perfect addition. Each month is a different glamor girl illustration. They are so pretty! I also like to ...

Pink Dress & Lace Up Flats

Pink Dress & Lace Up Flats

A few weeks ago,  I went to NYC for the last few days of Fashion Week and to work on an upcoming project launching next month. I always love trips to New York. And while they are usually very short, I always make time to enjoy the city, try new food and of course walk 5th Ave. This Printed Drop Waist Dress couldn't have been more perfect for this trip. This comfortable dress made for the perfect look while walking from meeting to meeting. Not to mention, it does not wrinkle. I was very surprised to pull this out of my suitcase (fully expecting to steam it) and noticed that it was in great condition. My Lace Up Flats (back in stock and under $75) were also a nice break from heels. I always love an excuse to wear these shoes! This dress & shoe combo will definitely be coming with me on any trips in the near future. Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday! xx OUTFIT DETAILS: ASOS Pink Geo Print Drop Waist Dress (FIT: The style is meant to be "shifty" and loose, I am wearing a small and I am 5'6) | Steve Madden

Necklace Layering 101

Necklace Layering 101

After organizing my jewelry collection this past week, it's very obvious I like simple and delicate pieces. I found the occasional statement piece but more often than not, I prefer to layer delicate necklaces, rings and bracelets instead of one large piece. These necklaces from Charming Charlie immediately caught my eye. They are delicate, affordable, and perfect for layering! When layering necklaces, there's a few tips I like to keep in mind. 1. Pick Your Favorite Short Style Look for pieces that are minimal, and hit right at your collar bone. I love the Bria Vertical Bar Necklace. It's versatile and looks great with just about any stack! 2. Layer On a Chic Mid-Length When layering, don't be afraid to mix metals. I love the idea of mixing rose gold with gold or even throwing in some silver. 3. Add an Elegant Long Piece Charming Charlie has made this look so easy and effortless with their new necklace layering collection. I had such a hard time picking just three! See more from the collection here.  Best. Necklaces. Always! If you like jewelry and accessories as much as me, I invite you to come out to Charming Charlie in Preston Park Village on Friday, August 28th from 6-8pm. I will be sharing style tips and there will also be ...

Summer Makeup Routine

Summer Makeup Routine

After posting this picture to my instagram account, it was clear that many of you have been looking for a lightweight tinted moisturizer or are interested in a good summer makeup routine. Like most of you, I tend to lay off the heavy makeup during the summer months. Don't get me wrong, I wear it, just a lighter version than normal and it's usually packed with high SPF. These are the products you will find in my makeup bag. Unless it's date night or a special occasion, I like to keep it easy and quick. A lightweight tinted moisturizer, eyeliner, mascara and a few other products seem to do the trick during the summer months. Side note: for those who are trying to grow out your brows, I have been using Castor Oil for the past month and a half and I have seen a huge difference. It took some patience, but recently, I have been noticing more "fullness" to my brows. Highly recommend!  .01 Kiehl's Tinted BB Cream: I stumbled upon this product after researching tinted moisturizers for our summer and our upcoming trips. I didn't want to wear makeup to the beach, but I did want something with a little tint and a high SPF. When I got this in the mail, I immediately tried it and realized that it could be used more ...

Crochet Lace

Crochet Lace

White is an essential all year long, but especially during Summer. This little top (under $35) could not be more perfect for warmer weather and the crochet details make it so pretty and feminine. I felt like I needed some color so I added these earrings for a pop of color and threw on some light denim. This was an easy look for our date night on Saturday and my Gigi New York Tote (15% off with code FRIENDS15) is always the perfect tote for running around. This whole look will be worn on repeat this summer! Outfit Details: Chicwish Crochet Sleeveless Top (fits like a small/medium || nice quality, just shipping takes 10-12 days) | Blank Denim (also seen here) | Karen Walker Harvest Sunglasses (identical under $10)  | Jessica ...
