5 Makeup Products I’m Using From Benefit

Benefit Cosmetics
I love to see what my favorite beauty and fashion editors keep in their makeup bags.  And though I have my routine down, I still love learning about the newest (or oldest) tricks in the book. Today, I’m spilling my beauty bag.

It’s no secret I love Benefit Cosmetics. Their brow products are some of the best and most unique in the industry. I also have a slight addiction to the They’re Real! Mascara. If you’re new to Benefit, here’s 5 products you may want to check out:

the POREfessional reviewa review on why I love Benefit Cosmetics makeup

1. THE POREFESSIONAL FACE PRIMER

Smaller pores? Sign me up. The Porefessional Face Primer is oil free and minimizes the look of pores and fine lines. It also makes your makeup look smooth and silky. My face tends to be rather sensitive, and this caused zero issues. Remember: a little goes a long way. It’s no wonder this is a cult favorite!

2. FOOLPROOF BROW POWDER

Filling in your brows doesn’t get easier than a one-and-done brow palette. And like I mentioned, Benefit Cosmetics knows their stuff when it comes to brow products (check out my review here).

This compact includes two customs shades to match you perfectly. It also comes with a tool that has a soft, waxy sponge on one end and spooley for brushing up brows on the other end. Personally, I like to use the angled eyebrow brush to apply the powder, but the small tool included in the compact makes it great for throwing in my makeup bag. I wear shade No. 3 in this powder.

3. GALIFORNIA SUNNY GOLDEN PINK BLUSH

This blush is absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it when it released earlier this year. I love a peachy cheek and this was the perfect shade.

Galifornia Sunny Golden Pink Blush does have some shimmer content, but it translates well onto the skin and evens out as you blend the color on the cheek. So rather than shimmer, you see more of a golden sheen. It blends and applies easily, and it is rather forgiving.

4. & 5.  THEY’RE REAL! MASCARA and ROLLER LASH SUPER CURLING & LIFTING MASCARA

Ah, behold the holy grail of mascara duos. I do try a lot of mascaras here and there, but my secret to full, long lashes is layering. To some that seems crazy to pay double, but I promise you this really works. Anytime I layer my mascara, I always get stopped and asked about what mascara I’m wearing (or if I wear falsies).

I first started using the They’re Real! Mascara Primer (reviewed here, here and here) last year and when Benefit released the They’re Real! Mascara, I was intrigued. I’ve since switched things up and now use They’re Real! Mascara as my primer and use Roller Lash on top.

My eyelashes look so much longer and fuller with these on. These also don’t dry out, which is a feat of epic proportions as mascaras go.

If you’re curious about trying some of my products, ULTA has several gift sets that include many of these along with other popular Benefit products. The Wink Upon A Star Set and Beauty & The Bay Holiday Set  would be ideal gifts this season. Happy shopping! x Ashley
