5 Trends I’m Wearing This Summer

I’m not usually one to plan my outfit around trends. Typically I stick with more classic and basic looks, but recently I can’t help but find myself pulling pieces influenced be these 5 summer trends. Whether it’s seashells, animal print (always my favorite) or polka dots, we’ve included several that are budget-friendly in addition to some by our favorite designers. Which one is your favorite?

5 Summer Trends I’m Wearing

Seashell Accessories

I am sure most of you have seen these seashell type of accessories at least once or twice lately! I totally love this for summertime, especially for a summer vacation. This is most definitely a fad and will not last past the fall in my opinion, but I am so enjoying it at the moment. I think it is a fun way to accessorize any look and totally brings me back to the early 2000s and church camp!

The Low Heel

Now this is a trend that I support! Especially since I am just past four weeks postpartum and my feet are still a bit swollen. For those of you who cannot tolerate the pain of high heels, this trend is your friend. I love how I can still look put together yet my feet aren’t killing me at the end of the day. I hope this trend stays for good!

Animal Print

I have always been a huge fan of animal print and love to incorporate it into my looks—especially since I love my neutral tones and like to mix it up from time to time! What I love about this trend is that It can be incorporated in clothing pieces, but also accessories like belts and headbands!

One Shoulder

One shoulder, no problem! What I love about this trend is that it comes in all types of colors, styles, fabrics and silhouettes. It can be found in someone who is dressed up or dressed down, in someone who is 15 or 50! I love a trend that can be used by all and I love when people add their own personal touch to it!

Dots

Although I mostly stick to wearing neutral tones/solid colors, I think the polka dot look is such a classic, and feminine style! I think dots look great with denim, or in swimwear, or even with a bright red lipstick if you’re feeling bold! I can definitely see this trend playing through the fall and winter time!
