My Dallas Guide to Dining, Shopping and Beauty Services

This is always a popular question in my DM’s, so I figured it made the most sense to have a spot for me to list out all my favorite Dallas spots. If you’re a local, feel free to comment and add to the list!

Dallas Guide

DINING

COFFEE: Check out this roundup of my favorite Dallas Coffee Shops.

BRUNCH: Sixty Vines, Oddfellows, Henry’s Majestic, The Rustic or Paradiso

LUNCH: Honor Bar, Bird Bakery, Mercat Bistro, Bistro 31

DINNER: Catbird (smaller plates, ideal for drinks and light bites), Drakes, Jose, Beverly’s, The Charles, Mi Cocina (family friendly), Nick and Sam’s (if you are celebrating a birthday, they do the big rainbow cake and cotton candy tower) or Paradiso.

BEAUTY SERVICES

FACIALS: House of Preservation

MASSAGE: The Joule Hotel has the best spa. It’s a full on experience down to sauna, heated plunge pool, and ice shower. Plan to spend a few hours if you go here. If you are looking for something quicker but still get a spa experience, I go to Hiatus.

HAIR: Rachel at Salon di Lusso. I’ve seen Rachel for 6 (maybe 7) years and I love her dearly! She is an expert with color.

BOTOX: I don’t do Botox or Injections at the moment but if/when I do, I will go to House of Preservation. They have the best reputation for botox and fillers.

NAILS: Rose Couture Nail Bar. I see Katie or Jay and they always do they best job with shape.

BROWS: Lauren Munson is so good at lamination or microblading. She did my lamination last summer and I hope to see her again before baby comes. I love her!

SHOPPING

HIGHLAND PARK VILLAGE for luxury shopping. You’ll find Chanel, Balenciaga, Celine, Dior and more located here. There’s also some yummy restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy while you’re out.

NORTHPARK CENTER

FORTY FIVE TEN

BISHOP ARTS DISTRICT is a fun area to visit and enjoy local boutiques and small businesses. There’s quite a few stores and restaurants in the area, you could easily spend a couple hours there.

HOTELS

THE JOULE: We’ve stayed here the most, mainly because we love the spa. It’s a fun hotel with a great location to downtown shopping.

THOMPSON: This hotel just opened in December 2020. We went for Austin’s birthday in January and I fell in love with the decor. The dining options were also amazing — we never left the hotel! The pool area looked really spacious and relaxing. I would go back!

CRESCENT: We’ve stayed here a handful of times and also love the location. You can walk to coffee shops, Shake Shack, Sixty Vines which makes it really easy to get around. We are going for my birthday in a couple weeks and going to try out the spa. I’ll see how it compares to The Joule and report back.
