DIY HOLIDAY GIFTS

Y’all loved my post from last year on Easy DIY Hostess Gifts so I wanted to bring you more this year. To be honest, I’m not the best DIYer which is why I asked my girlfriend Ginger from Urbanology Designs to help. She’s my go-to for decorating, hosting, etc and when she was helping to decorate my home for the holidays, we also go to work on these ideas.

DIY GIFTS IDEAS

We wanted to provide y’all with a few simple gift ideas that feel special but don’t take too much time (or patience). These ideas can honestly be applied to any budget and can work for just about anyone on your list, including the host. A lot of the ‘garnishes’ can be found in your own yard or neighborhood, so don’t worry about following ours perfectly. You can also find a lot of these at local grocery stores, etc.

Keep reading for my ideas and to shop similar items! If you want more gift ideas, I also have my ideas for him all set.

THE KITCHEN ESSENTIALS

Love this idea for a host or a housewarming present. You could even do a cookbook for a friend who loves to cook!

PERSONALIZED BOOK

This could be great for parents or grandparents! Ginger had the idea to take a photobook (Shutterfly style) and wrap it with a linen towel and put a holiday card on the outside. Cute right?

WINE & MORE

This is honestly so easy and a great way to spruce up a last-minute gift. We found these berries at Kroger and tied a black ribbon in a bow around the booze. We also used glue dots to add a strip of velvet ribbon to the bottom to make it feel extra special. You can add wine chips, crackers, and even a cheese board if you want to add to the gift.

TAPERED CANDLE STICKS

I love this idea for anyone. It’s something I wouldn’t necessarily buy myself, but would love to receive it, you know? As for the design, we wrapped these pretty candles with a linen tea towel and tied them with satin bow. Keep it neutral so it’s safe to go with any decor.

SALAD SET

This is my pick for a budget-friendly idea. Wrap pretty salad servers (the wood goes with the overall theme) in a linen tea towel and pretty bow. Then grab garnishes from the yard or store to dress it up.

Love this so so much and will be coming back to revisit it. What’s wrapped inside with the wine?
