It’s no secret, I love a good snack. Quite the opposite of Austin who could literally eat two meals a day and be completely fine…I love to eat! Snacking is one of the ways I keep my cravings in check, get a boost of energy and curb hunger. Since my work week is more “on-the-go”, I always like to have healthy-ish options to throw in my bag or keep in my desk drawer. Here are my favorites!
5 HEALTHY SNACKS TO KEEP ON HAND:
These 4 ingredient bars remind me of fruit snacks and I love that. I don’t eat these too often, but when I am craving something sweet, these help keep my sweet tooth in check. This bar has no added sugars or artificial ingredients, so you won’t be feeling guilty after eating it.
2. RX BAR
Austin loves these bars! At first, I was skeptical, but the Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt bar actually tastes pretty good. I like to keep mine in the fridge, does that make me crazy? With 12g of protein and 4g of fiber, this snack will be sure to get you through the work day. I am going to try the Peanut Butter flavor next!
3. GRAZE STICKS
I love these nitrate free, grass-fed beef jerky sticks. Seriously- I order these every other week because we love snacking on these. They are low carb, zero sugar and are the perfect snack if you are doing Paleo or Whole 30. We also really like the Vermont Sticks, these just tend to be a little cheaper.
So oddly enough I hate mangos, but I love these dried mango slices from Trader Joes. These honestly taste like a tart fruit roll up. I know it’s not the best to eat a ton of dried fruit, but these are so tasty! Everything in moderation, right?
5. TRAIL MIX
Trail mix is always a staple. This pack from Trader Joes is the perfect mix of sweet and salty. Nuts are a great way to boost energy and I always have a bag on hand. These are lightly salted, but TJ’s has several options with no salt or dark chocolate.
