I’ve used the Always Pan for the Past 6 Months, Here’s my Honest Thoughts

Ashley Robertson Kitchen I’m sure you’ve seen the Our Place Always Pan make its debut across your Instagram feed and if you haven’t, this will be a culinary treat.

There’s no more versatile place to start a cookware upgrade than with the frypan, the kitchen staple. I love this one in particular because—aside from being aesthetically pleasing—it’s nonstick and nontoxic. Plus, it comes with a coordinating lid, wooden spatula, steamer basket and colander.

I was first introduced to the Always Pan back in March. I ordered it right as we were beginning to go into quarantine and had plenty of time to put it to use.

I have truly been so impressed with this pan. So much, I got another one last week and plan on buying a couple as gifts for family this season.

So, why the Always Pan?

Well, like the name says, this pan is multifunctional and essentially 7-in-1: skillet, non-stick pan, saucier, frypan, spatula rest, colander, steamer. It has an exclusive coating specifically formulated without Teflon, PFAS, PFOAS, PTFEs, lead, cadmium, toxic metals or other potentially harmful materials.

You can flip your pancakes or fry an egg without ever having it stick to your pan — it’s genius.

Care Tips

Here are a few ways to keep your pan in its prime condition:

+ Oils & fats: 1-2 tablespoons of oil or butter is more than enough to lightly coat the Always Pan’s entire surface. It’s recommended to use high smoke point oils – extra virgin olive, refined coconut, avocado, and peanut oils as well as ghee.

+ Avoid cooking on high heat, I typically keep mine on medium or low heat.

+ I wouldn’t use the dishwasher to clean the Always Pan so that the non-stick coating will last many years. I like to do a quick wash with some soapy water and a soft sponge after each use for best results (they send you a sponge too).

+ Stick to non-metal utensils to avoid damaging the coating (the pan comes with a wooden spatula).
